Nice area and build, poor management.

Lovely local area, plenty of walks within close distance and very close to the harbour side. This doesn’t affect me because I have a drive but others had had problems with parking spaces being confused as visitor spaces because they aren’t numbered.

Please review your development:

I’m really happy with the design of the house. Where I’m dissapoonted is the management. I’ve been here for over a year and there are still things that haven’t been fixed from when I first moved in. I waited over a year for a kitchen problem to be sorted and have been waiting months for another. When I first moved in the development manager was brilliant but there’s been a couple of changes since and it’s gone really downhill

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

How long it would take to get any problems sorted.

What is the best feature of your home:

Having a bathroom, ensuite and cloakroom is really good for when I have visitors

We are very close to a small town centre. Shops, super markets, cafes and a few restaurants. A train station is just 10 minutes down the road with direct route to london. Good bus connections to cirencester, stroud, malmsbury.
It is a very quiet area, good neighbours, little traffic and perfect parking for our house.

Please review your development:

I specifically like the fact that there are some affordable housing such as our own. The overall appeal of the estate is very nice. A few red brick houses such as ours but majority are cotswold stone that are in keeping with the town. I cannot personally comment on the management as we dont deal with them specifically but i have heard a mixture of good and bad.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The quality of the garden/ under the grass. We needed to go alot of work to make it good quality.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

We had a couple small problems when we moved in, but were dealt with within a short time period and to a high satisfaction

Good development in a lovely area

Closest local shop is a 5 minute drive away. The area feels nice and quiet but is also a short drive away from supermarkets and not too far away from Bristol centre. You have the option of driving to the centre or taking the bus for which the stop is about a 15 minute walk away. There are plenty of walks in the local area and a few lovely pubs within walking distance. Parking not too much of an issue although as with any new build estate the streets can feel a little narrow. When the development is finished there will be a park and allotments so plenty of green space.

Please review your development:

Overall the development is good and the houses seem good quality, I have only heard of a couple houses having major snags while the vast majority are minor. The only thing I’d say is odd is that our house is a corner plot, on one side the pavement is there but then when you turn the corner into another street there are no pavements at all. Although it is a very quiet estate this means people are walking on the road to get to their houses so maybe not the best thought out plan. The gardens for houses that are 3 bed or less tend to be on the small side but big enough for us as a couple. All of the minor snags we had have been sorted so no complaints there. Overall the estate is lovely and we are really pleased, there feels like a nice amount of green space and the development is in a good location for us.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Think about storage – because new builds use all the space it’s hard to find space for storage. I believe we are able to board the loft if done correctly and this is something we plan to do
Be assertive about times you are available for fixing of snags – sometimes workmen would try their luck and knock to see if you were free at random times which could be hard while working from home. Having an agreed time and explaining your circumstances can be helpful and also chasing up when they don’t turn up!

What is the best feature of your home:

I think overall the use of space is good. I also like being on the corner and therefore having plenty of windows and a couple of different areas to grow plants! We chose to add a shower over the bath in the main bathroom which I am pleased we did – a seemingly small thing but very handy for guests!
