Broken and miserable Milverton Road takes the spirit out of Spirit Quarters.

Spirit Quarters in CV2 1QT is located just opposite a stream which runs with lot of stagnation. The stagnation causes weed growth and decay and this creates lot of offensive odour. It smells like poop and it is unbearable during warmer months especially. There is nothing good in the local area. It is dangerous to walk alone. There was a murder recently near the Bell Green Farmland store and Lloyds Pharmacy. The lawn opposite adds to the stink because dogs are brought here and it is very convenient for them to poop and pee.

Please review your development:

The Milverton road which is the only road to go out for shopping, food, school or hospital has too many pits and holes and makes driving a misery. It is not being repaired saying it will be done when all construction is over. Already we had endured torture for 2+ years and with another phase V starting it could last 3 more years. Spirit Quarters is giving us an opportunity to give our lives for this great country, as soon there will be accidents especially with children and vulnerable most likely dying. They will not repair the roads and prevent the council also from repairing because what they want is just money from selling their buildings.
I had to replace my car tyres and leaf spring due to the miserable Milverton road.

The house construction is not that admirable, many places creak and make noise as we climb stairs or walk around. The sink in the main bathroom also creaks, threatening to fall and may be fracture my feet. But who cares? They got the money.. thats all they want.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

That we will not be able to drive freely in and out of the property. That there will be stinking gases coming out and cause illness in the long run to children and aged especially.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

No, never they just give excuses. I have been telling about repairing the Milverton road for 2.5 years. Nothing has been done so far. Nor do they care about the stink benefitting our lungs from the nearby stream.

Overall very pleased and love living here.

Parking availability is great. The apartment faces a busy road so it can get loud with traffic, especially at rush hour times.

It is near a couple of schools so the morning and afternoon can get busy with school children.

There are good transport and rail links.

Please review your development:

Property managers are very helpful and accommodating. When first trying to view the place, it took a while to get it organised. There is no physical office.

The design of the flat is amazing, it’s modern and sleek, whilst also allowing us to put our own stamp on it.

The bin facilities are slightly lacking for the number of residents in the apartment complex.

Overall very pleased and love living here.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The busy road is quite loud and you can hear it all throughout the night

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

They have been quick at responding and very helpful in getting the issue resolved

Great place to live

Quiet area with a good mix of families and young people, which means everyone is respectful of other residents. Not much traffic which also makes it a quiet area

Please review your development:

The apartment has great storage space with two large cupboards built in and plenty of space for additional storage as all of the rooms are large and spacious. The integrated kitchen appliances all work well and the central heating heats up the apartment very quickly in winter.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Be careful with furniture as the walls do seem to be made from delicate material

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Well, any problems we are able to log on an online system and they always get dealt with quickly

The Apartment itself is great but the neighbours can be noisy at night…

Easy access to nearby Sainsburys and surrounding restaurants while not being too far way from Cannon Park Shopping centre and Coventry City.

While the horizontal sound proofing is pretty good, the vertical/diagonal sound proofing is not great when it it comes to noisy upstairs or downstairs neighbours.

At night it’s very easy to hear heavy footsteps, loud conversation that vibrate the walls, yelling, washing machine/dryer vibrations and the ventilation fans.

If your room get hot at night and you decide to open the windows for ventilation, the outdoor ambiance may include the occasional: loud conversations of neighbours, partying, trains and the squeaky bin shed door (because nobody else wants to close the door/the lock is broken).

I’ve had multiple instances of sleep deprivation due to noise disturbances.

The bins in the bin storage shed seems to get full very easily, neighbours keep placing unwanted furniture and electrical appliances in there for some reason and there is no bin for food waste (even though the surrounding neighbours have brown lidded bins).

Please review your development:

Studio apartment is quite spacious and well segmented. It also comes with white goods, oven and electric stovetop.

Very good insulation as my apartment never seems to go lower than 20 C even with the windows open.

Good horizontal sound proofing.

The storage cupboard doors have handles on the inside which means that items, such as a broom, can jam the door from the inside if they fall over.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

How bad the vertical/diagonal soundproofing is if your upstairs/downstairs neighbours decide to be noisy.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Building management seems to responds to emails relatively quickly.
For example, when somebody parked their van on designated parking space, building management sent out an email to all the residents asking for the removal of that vehicle.
