Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Quiet area, multiple bus stops within 20min walk, supermarkets within 20min walk, local shops within 10 min walk

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Very slow to respond to maintenance requests, all contractors are private and must bid on jobs before they can be actioned, leading to long wait times

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Very quiet location, efficient energy use and good layout

Awful living experience because of 1.5 + years (and counting) of ongoing maintenance work.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

pro - Good location, clean insides, secure and modern. con - The construction going on has made living in this property absolutely horrible. 1.5 years and counting is a long time to live without peace, lack of privacy and constant drilling noise + vibrations.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

They probably cannot do much, I dont know. Not their fault.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

This construction work & how long this will go for. If I knew about it at the time of renewing, I would not have renewed contract.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

My apartment within the complex is very conveniently situated close to the city centre for all aspects of shopping, the gym and with me having on site parking it’s great.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

If I raise any issues the building management they try to solve the problem as soon as possible

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I was asked to give some feedback on my time at highfield apartment 104. I moved in on the 1st of march 2024. I found the apartment suited me very well and everything was ok when I moved in. one thing that I didn't expect was the high cost in winter to keep the apartment at 24 centigrade. While there was no issue with paying the bill I did think it was high for the time of year with it being a one bedroom apartment and wondered if the block had been built with sufficient insulation. Another ongoing issue is the builders who are on site rectifying an issue in the complex and a couple of times my car has been covered in debris. I had the car cleaned and was paid for doing so. There has been an ongoing issue with the door leading into highfield from the car park with it not locking when shut, at this time the lock has been removed from the door so it is just shut without being locked. I have pointed out minor things I have seen on a daily basis as I am walking to and from my car and the staff make sure things are sorted very quickly. I know with the economy when running a building like Highfield there are tight financial constraints but I do get a feeling that it feels like everything is tied down on a tight budget.Simple things like the walkway to the lift from the car park entrance and the lifts themselves always seem dirty. its slightly better now but it has put me off from having people around sometimes. One of the highlights of staying at the apartment has been the friendly and helpful staff. On the many times I have popped downstairs to go out or popping back there is always a friendly face to greet me which is great. It is the first time i have rented an apartment and on the whole it has been a good experience, it is very close to things in the city and with the on site parking, it has made my life very easy. im looking forward to the rest of my stay at highfield as the summer months go on

Manager response

Dear John, Thank you for your detailed and thoughtful review. We’re really pleased to hear that your first experience of renting an apartment has been a positive one overall, and that Highfield has suited your needs—particularly with the convenience of the location and on-site parking. Your kind words about the team are greatly appreciated; it means a lot to know their friendliness and support have made a difference to your day-to-day experience. We also take your comments about heating costs, insulation, and shared areas seriously. Your feedback has been noted and will be shared with the wider team, especially regarding the car park door and overall cleanliness—we know how important these details are. Thanks again for your feedback, and we’re glad to have you with us as we head into the summer months. Best regards, Peter Benko Community and Operations Manager
