Just 50 miles to north east of London, Milton Keynes was devised as a ‘new town’ in the 1960s and continues to evolve and grow today. Famed for its roundabouts and district grids, the town has benefitted from a steady flow of new residents from London. House prices have seen strong growth, with amenities and schools now plentiful and high quality. Housing is more varied than its reputation might suggest, with everything from period properties in historic villages to new build homes in chic developments.
The apartment is located centrally which is great for shopping/going for dinners etc. however, sadly, as it is so close to some ‘rougher’ areas cars often get broken into and walking alone at night nearby is an absolute no go! Parking is rubbish – you either park ages away with a resident permit, park right outside with a council permit for £55 a month or pay £40 a month to park in the car park – not ideal considering it’s quite expensive to live there anyway.
Please review your development:
Overall it’s a really nice place to live and it’s nice to have a reception concierge on weekdays! Any problems within my apartment have always been resolved quickly which is great! However, I got absolutely NO phone signal in my flat which made life very difficult! I think this is ridiculous considering the price of the place – given this I’d never move back to be honest.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
The non existent signal and the fact you can’t open your windows past 5cm (which causes the flats to feel like a greenhouse in the summer!)
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Always very quickly and anything resolved ASAP – very happy with this.
