Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

A shop has finally opened, after 6 years of living on the development. A coffee shop is due to open soon. There are lots of play parks and the new school seems fantastic. Transport links are not great from what I've heard - we avoid public transport. The nearest restaurant is a very nice pub, which is a good 20 minute walk. The main road is quite noisy, and the industrial estate opposite can be disruptive. Both of these attract car meets and racers frequently. There is a lot of visitor parking spaces, some residents choose to ignore and park in the road anyway.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Get a professional snagger; there were so many things wrong that we didnt identify until after the deadline because theyre conveniently hidden

What is the best feature of your home:

Storage space; lots of big cupboards. Lots of natural light from big windows.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

There are sometimes bad actors in the local neighborhood that will try and break into your car. you can mitigate this by paying for a parking spot, but it is much cheaper to get a yearly parking pass. Also, the resident permit zones are stupid and prioritize centre mk customers / workers over residents that pay premium £ to live at Solstice. not the fault of Grainger or Solstice, but it sucks

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

They quickly assessed whatever my complaint was and did their best to sort it out in a timely manner and provided prompt updates.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I had known about the parking situation, as well as the quality of service provided by Glide. If im honest, they suck. Customer service is horrible from them when you have issues, the security protocols are weak & the internet speeds are extremely slow, even if you upgrade to a higher tier of service. Please fix this, get rid of them and find a more responsive ISP.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The area has a good mix of local shops and a large supermarket nearby, which makes day-to-day errands easy. There are a few decent restaurants and cafés within walking distance, and a couple of friendly pubs that feel welcoming rather than rowdy. Green spaces are a real highlight — there’s a well-kept park close by that’s great for walks and fresh air. Transport links are generally reliable, with regular bus services and a train station within a short drive, although peak times can get crowded. On my street, parking can sometimes be tight in the evenings, but bin collections are consistent and the area feels safe with very little anti-social behaviour. Traffic noise is minimal apart from occasional rush hour periods.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Building management has generally responded in a professional and polite manner. While minor issues have sometimes taken a little longer than expected to resolve, they do acknowledge concerns and keep residents updated. Overall, they are approachable and willing to help when problems are raised.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

wish I had known how limited parking can be during evenings and weekends, as it’s not something you really notice during a daytime viewing. I’d also say it’s worth introducing yourself to neighbours early on — the community is friendly

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Willow house is in a very nice, area - although development is still ongoing there a number local shops and resturants within easy reach.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yes all queries have been answered in timely fashion.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Only that, as of the time of writing the closest shops are on the next estate over (Shenley Brook End) although it's a short walk and an even shorter drive so it's really a massive issue.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

There’s a fair bit of traffic noise from some loud vehicles in the area The nearest bus stop is an 8 minute walk and the service provided by Arriva is slow, noisy, somewhat unreliable and fairly expensive

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The building management has not taken responsibility for the situation with the interior paint and seems to instead be using it as an excuse to charge tenants for frequent repainting

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I knew that the walls would have to be spotless when moving out. I wish I knew how hard it would be to clean any marks on the walls I wish I knew how unbearably hot the apartment would be in the summer

Manager response

Dear Jamie, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are pleased to hear about your positive review, however we are sorry that aspects of the living space did not meet your expectations. Your comments are noted and will be shared with our wider team for review. Regarding end of tenancy charges, these are assessed in line with tenancy agreements and fair wear and tear guidelines. It is never our intention to apply charges unfairly, and we understand the importance of clear expectations around this. We appreciate all feedback, as it helps us identify where we can improve both the living experience and our communication with residents.
