Lovely modern homes that are light, airy and spacious. Everything needed for a comfortable home is provided in terms of appliances, energy efficiency and broadband. Very happy

Very responsive, with a dedicated property manager who resolves things promptly. Conor and Ben whom Arrange everything prior to tenancy are superb too

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Ensure when you move in that you register the battery for your energy supply as the bill free system only works once it is registered and not upon registering with the supplier.

Have lived in Soltice apartments for 4 years now. Yesterday I moved to the 6th floor from the 2nd floor. Both rooms are of a high standard. Bathrooms and kitchens are well laid out and of a high standard. I must give a special mention to the staff on reception. Always very smart in appearance and of a very professional manner. A very special mention to Danielle and Lisa. Both ladies have gone above and beyond helping me with the move yesterday. It is a pleasure to be greeted by them whenever I pass through reception. They are a credit to Grainger plc.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Milton Keynes city centre has most shops i need. Soltice apartments are just across road. Bars clubs and restaurants are literally 5 minutes walk away. Train station 5 minutes by taxi. London is just an hour drive depending on traffic.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Exemplary ,all issues are resolved sharpish. If they can't help on the spot they arrange to come back at a later time.

Nothing bad to say. It has been a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

Solstice Apartments is a very secure building having underground parking which is fully light and kept tidy. There is also bike storage if you are the energetic type.The front entrance is secure and there is always a bunch of happy employees behind the concierge desk. Danielle and Lisa in particular are always very happy, willing to have a chat and sort out any problems be they big or small. They work hard making sure the building is maintained to a high standard and they organise many resident get togethers. There is a well equipped gym, renz boxes for parcels and a bank of post boxes. We have a communal lounge,and outside space which can all be hired free of charge. All in all it's a great place to live.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The apartment block is situated directly opposite MK shopping centre which has many top brand stores,lovely restaurants and is only a short walk from the theatre and snow dome. There is a beautiful park which hosts lots of events throughout the year . It is also possible to walk a little further to willen lake. The local bus service is good and the train station is just a 5 min drive away giving you a gateway to London and the surrounding area.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Very quick to respond and if the problem cannot be fixed right away they email with a date and time very promptly.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

It would have been nice to know that if you wanted to buy some pieces of your own furniture that they wouldn't store the pieces provided. You have to store it yourself.

The entrance to the building is welcoming, along with the distinct smell in the lobby. The parcel area is well organized and secured and can accommodate large packages. Communal spaces are great, I have used the pods in the coworking area a few times. Having a printer/scanner there as well is a really nice addition. The team at the reception is so friendly and responsive, it's so nice to be greeted by them. And I should attend more of the community events they organize! I have used the app to book for maintenance and the issue was fixed within the hour. I really like how efficient the insulation is in the building, during winter the warmth would be maintained inside the flat even after aerating and getting fresh air in. The space is well utilized inside the apartment with the option to customize it inside the utility room. As a couple living in a one bedroom, it doesn't feel crammed or restrictive. The ottoman bed is a good addition to manage storage. We added a small chest of drawers to organize the closet space. After almost 10months of living here I would find it difficult to move somewhere else given all the convenience The Almere offers!

Living in central MK is so convenient and the location of the Almere even more so. The train station is walking distance (15min), plenty of local shops and restaurants across the street less than 5min away. There are so many parks and walking trails around. While being pedestrian friendly, having a car is a necessity as bus routes to neighboring towns are non existent. It is really calm even though it is the centre of the city. The weekends can get a bit busy given the many bars and restaurants in the centre but nothing major in terms of nuisance or anti-social behaviour so far. As newcomers from Canada, the move to the Almere was the best option for us.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

So far we've had one issue where the curtains needed to be fixed in the bedroom and it was dealt with on the same day.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

It is a new build and very well maintained, the neighbourhood is calm and so are the residents in the building. The soundproofing is quite efficient, I can barely hear what goes on outside the apartment. I would say that a big part of what made us pick the Almere was the lovely tour that Christina made when we came for the viewing. She made such a nice impression and the interaction we had played a big factor in helping us choose.
