I’ve lived in the Almere previously and came back for a reason. The design, homely, warm feel of the building and overall standards here are above anywhere else in Milton Keynes. There’s plenty of facilities to make use of and they’re generally pretty quiet whenever you’re looking to use them. Management are quick to respond to any enquiries and are always friendly and available at the front desk if needed urgently.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Location wise, it’s perfect. It’s quiet but still central and everything you need is on your doorstep. Residents parking could be better but that’s a council problem and out of managements control. Bin collections and road noise are both generally good.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

I’ve never had any issues at The Almere, however any enquiries I’ve made have been responded to same day.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

R1 parking is a short walk away but isn’t directly outside however this is made clear both online and typically when you view an apartment here.

yes, did not raised a anything lately. Only maintenance that was picked up quickly.

Its so close to center, 10 minutes away from train station walking and 1 minutes from Sainsburry. Also so close to many restaurant options and night life.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

They are always replying on time and doing great job with the repairing and the flat issues if there is any.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Flat sizes are not big difference, I could have taken 2 bedroom with paying a bit more than my current one bedroom.

I spent a year following the feedback on all the main 'built to rent' apartment blocks in Milton Keynes and surrounds. I made my decision to go with the Almere based on following that feedback, which is why I am writing this review. I had exceptional help from the Almere team in selecting the right apartment for our needs. We had some special circumstances to accomodate and had to choose the apartment whilst living overseas. The team could not have been more helpful. There was no hard-sell and no attempt to mask any issues we might face with our circumstances. I believe that if you have preferences about the apartment, aspect, chance of noise, or any other matter, you can give details to the team and trust they will do their best for you. This is my experience at least! The facilities are great. The Almere team try to encourage you to use the facilities and to create a community vibe. The rest is up to you - participate or not. In my experience, there has alway been a warm welcome returning to the building, at a minimum, there is a nod and a smile. The weekend team, who work for a security firm, have become like family! The weekly team, are professional, kind, warm, and helpful. If I had to make one negative comment, I'd love to fix the sound of furniture scraping from above. But, seriously, it's the only thing...and rather picky! So far, one month in, I don't think I could have chosen better.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The Almere is located within walking distance of the main shopping centre and the train station, with a Sainsbury's just over the road, and The Hub restaurant precinct virtually adjacent (with enough of a gap to not suffer from the noise!). It's pretty faultless on location if those are the amenities you need. I am trying to live car free but was delighted to find a car club share car in the carpark - you can rent it by the hour. There is street noise. And depending on the aspect of your apartment, this changes in type. On the Main Street front, I have found night time on Friday/Saturday to have frequent shouting outside on the street. However, with the window shut, you don't hear it. I assume this applies around the building.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

I have had some small maintenance requests, both sorted pretty much immediately. And one was a broken toilet on a Sunday - fixed that afternoon!

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Finding the share car in the basement had passed me by! I was going out of the town centre to hire a car.
