Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
This is a great location, really central at the Milton Keynes, you can get to the large shopping area within 10 minutes, and 1 min across the street you have one large sainsburys, it's not bad to reach out to the train station as well, just at the middle stage, far away enough to avoid the crowds but still not a hassle. Campbell park is really nice within 20mins walk.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
They replied quite promptly and always did their best to explain everything clearly.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
We should have known this place last year so we can enjoy the great life earlier.

Pretty spaces, nice staff, but disappointing amenities (no gym, WiFi issues)

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
Great location with a 2 min walk to the grocery store and bars/restaurants, within 15 min walk of the train station and some green spaces scattered around. Some abandoned buildings nearby do create a sketchy atmosphere at night though.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Generally the staff is friendly and helpful, from maintenance to front desk.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
That the gym would not be actually usable at all, the coffee machine would be taken away and WiFi is unreliable.
Manager response
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re really pleased to hear you’ve enjoyed the building’s design, found the maintenance system effective, and had positive experiences with our front desk team. We would like to clarify that nothing has been officially confirmed regarding the gym at this stage. As an Almere resident, you do receive discounts at multiple locations across Milton Keynes, including local gyms. You can view the current offers and community partnerships through the Resident App under the Community Links section. In relation to the coffee machine, this was removed as it was unfortunately not commercially viable to continue operating. However, residents still have access to complimentary coffee, tea, and hot chocolate facilities in the reception lobby as well as in the 11th floor Sky Lounge kitchen. Regarding the WiFi outages, we completely understand how disruptive this was. The issue was outside of our control, however it was escalated with the provider immediately and residents were updated regularly on progress throughout the disruption. We appreciate your feedback and will continue working to improve the resident experience wherever possible. If you would like to discuss any of these points further, I would be more than happy to arrange a meeting with you. Please contact the front desk team and they can assist in arranging this.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
Living in central MK is so convenient and the location of the Almere even more so. The train station is walking distance (15min), plenty of local shops and restaurants across the street less than 5min away. There are so many parks and walking trails around. While being pedestrian friendly, having a car is a necessity as bus routes to neighboring towns are non existent. It is really calm even though it is the centre of the city. The weekends can get a bit busy given the many bars and restaurants in the centre but nothing major in terms of nuisance or anti-social behaviour so far. As newcomers from Canada, the move to the Almere was the best option for us.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
So far we've had one issue where the curtains needed to be fixed in the bedroom and it was dealt with on the same day.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
It is a new build and very well maintained, the neighbourhood is calm and so are the residents in the building. The soundproofing is quite efficient, I can barely hear what goes on outside the apartment. I would say that a big part of what made us pick the Almere was the lovely tour that Christina made when we came for the viewing. She made such a nice impression and the interaction we had played a big factor in helping us choose.
Manager response
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review Lea. We welcome all feedback so please let us know if there is anything that we could improve on to get the 5 star review.
