Mustard Wharf is a brand new development set on the banks of the Leeds – Liverpool canal in the exciting new Holbeck Urban Village and just a few minutes’ walk from Leeds train station. The development consists of 247 rental apartments in total. All of the apartments are furnished with an option of 1,2 & 3 bedrooms and are even pet friendly. All apartments feature Juliet balconies, spacious living areas and top of the range Samsung appliances. In addition, there are a range of amenities including a residents lounge, private dining, co-working spaces, superfast broadband, 24 hour front of house team, two roofs terrace/gardens, gym, and regular social events. Lockside Mustard Wharf

Development of brand new. Very stylish. There a a number of superb looking office and communal areas that are unfortunately restricted due to Covid but we are very much looking forward to their reopening. Similarly gym is due to come on stream which we are very much looking forward to.

Excellent location less than 10 minute walk right to the heart of the city centre. Train station 2 minute walk.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Looking forward to more facilities coming on stream once Covid settles!

What is the best feature of your home:

Management company service day to day is superb. There is 24 hour concierge, parcel room. Very secure.

Design very modern and clean
Louise and Hassan on management are very professional and have been very helpful
Reception Mathew and Liam have also been very helpful in me getting moved in
Chris in maintenance has also been able to access my apartment as not yet in permanently

Close to city centre but in an area which is very safe and quit

Happy with everything I saw on several viewings

If there is one thing you would change about your flat or property what would it be:

Larger balcony but a julienne gives openess and maybe a larger storage space

So far very impressed

The building is brand new, nicely decorated and clean. The staff are very welcoming and super attentive/ helpful if you need anything. I would highly recommend if you are moving to a new city in lockdown as it really does take a lot of the stress out of a move and nice to have friendly staff on the door to speak to.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

There are some great pubs and beer gardens with the train station and city center within a 10 min walk. You basically have everything you need on your doorstep.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

That if you are looking to park your car there are currently no spaces available within the site while works are ongoing but there are private spaces you can rent in the locality for circa £95 – £125 pcm in Mannor Mills or on just off David Street. This is much more affordable than the city center options !

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

everyone who I have spoken with have been super attentive.

A modern development in an excellent location

This development is modern with an industrial feel. Our apartment was very well thought out – we have recently downgraded from a two bedroom into a one bedroom and was initially concerned about space; but Mustard Wharf have provided us with a spacious one bedroom apartment with clever storage solutions. The amenities available to tenants are incredible and the development has a great team of staff that are always so happy to help.

We were guided through the initial viewing by Louise Pierre, who was great and answered all of our questions. She was then available throughout the entire renting process (alongside her colleague Hassan!) right from the viewing up until moving in day, and still sends us regular updates now. The front of house team are always on hand now that we are moved in to answer any questions we have.

The local area surrounding Mustard Wharf is fantastic. We were familiar with the area before we moved in, but now that we are here we are realising more than ever how convenient it is to have everything you could need on your doorstep. The train station, bars, restaurants and retailers are all no more than a 10 minute walk away. There is a canal that runs down the side of the development which offers a great escape from ‘city life’, with scenic views and a family swans that we can see from our bedroom window!

We were very well informed and anything we wanted to know ahead of moving in Louise answered for us in advance.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

They have an excellent COVID strategy in place when dealing with repairs

A breakthrough in modern day city living

Mustard Wharf represents a concept I have wanted to see more of in the UK for a long time, and brings everything you need to live and work in the city. The design and facilities are well thought out and feel like they are finished to a high standard. The building and its management team are wonderful, and I can’t wait to attend the resident events and meet my neighbours once COVID has passed.

As somebody who works from home, the building provides top class facilities to work in different environments throughout the day allowing me to still be social. Whereas in a normal apartment complex you would just be confined to the room.

The management team are very friendly, accommodating and always on hand if needed. Everybody has been amazing since I have moved in, but I’d like to give special shoutout to Louise who kept me updated whilst the building was finished, and helped me move in as soon as physically possible.

Mustard Wharf also provide a web portal to manage any maintenance requests, utility manuals and a newsletter for its residents. This makes everything seamless and hassle free.

I feel at home! 🙂

Wonderful area close to hotels, shops, restaurants, offices and a nice canal to walk and run along. The train station is also a stone throw away, with the city centre being a 5 minute walk. This means there is always a good amount of people around making the area feel safer.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Nothing to note here, everything has been as good as I’d expected.

What is the best feature of your home:

Hard to provide one specific feature. My view of the canal and city are amazing, and the apartment is finished to a high standard.

Great development, even better service

The design and quality of finish on this development is spectacular. It has a modern, industrial feel with plenty of light and some fantastic additional resident facilities such as bike stores, communal roof terraces and a bookable private dining area. The appliances in the departments themselves are top of the range, and you have the freedom to decorate and personalise your space if you wish (not that it’s required!)

What sets this development apart though, is the service provided by the onsite property management team and front of house. I have rented similar spec apartments in the past, but the service and hospitality at Mustard Wharf is second to none. The team cannot do enough for you; communication is prompt, honest and straightforward and any issues are addressed quickly and professionally. Despite the challenges brought about by the pandemic, Louise went above and beyond to make sure our move went smoothly, and worked really closely with us to find an apartment that met our requirements perfectly. Since moving in, she’s maintained that visibility and professionalism; keeping us posted on any maintenance work and ensuring we know how to report any repairs etc. The front of house team are amazing; Liam and Matthew are always on hand ensuring the building is secure, deliveries are signed for and there is a friendly and welcoming atmosphere as you enter the building. The building is regularly cleaned and kept in immaculate condition by the whole team.

The development is really well located; it has beautiful views of Leeds-Liverpool canal, is well-located to the station and other transport links and is a short walk from the centre for all amenities, shopping, bars and restaurants.

The broadband is included and all set-up for when you move in – super helpful, especially at the moment with increased home working.

Excellent Place to live

The design is very well thought out, and it has many amenities which are quite useful for the tenants. Amenities include multiple rooftops, a private dining area, and a lounge for tenants.

Management has been excellent in answering all questions or queries and addressing any problems straight away. It was stress-free to move in and the flats are already renovated to a high degree, which means you don’t have to do anything. However, you are even given the option to change things in your flat if you prefer.

The whole team working at Mustard Wharf are great, especially Hasan and Matthew who have helped a lot during the move-in process and thereafter.

I love the area, as it is located in the heart of the city, which allows easy access to tons of (speciality) shops, train station and bus station.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I believe the management team has been fairly transparent.

I am quite content with the property and the flat.

All the extras for a great home

The building and apartment are both superb. The attention to detail makes this seem much more like a home straight away when moving in. The apartment is finished to a really high standard, with excellent quality furnishings and appliances. The layout of the apartment makes the best use of the space and I feel I have plenty of room for storage and to add my own touches with additional furniture. It was so amazing to move in and have the broadband already set up and ready to go!

The communal areas of the building are amazing, with so many spaces indoor and outdoors to work or chill out. It is also a real bonus to have great secure cycle storage as this is often lacking in other places I’ve lived. The whole building feels very safe with 24 hour reception and it is always nice to have a friendly face to say hello to.

The resident services team are amazing and are always on hand to help with anything. I had to move in fairly quickly and during the pandemic but the team were really fantastic at facilitating this. Hasan did a great job sorting all the tenancy details before I moved in and Louise made a special effort to ensure I could move in on the day that I needed to.

This is a great area close to a number of brilliant bars and restaurants. Being next to the canal makes it quite peaceful but I also like having the train station right next door as it still feels like there are plenty of people around.

Nothing, everything has been as expected or better.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

I haven’t had any problems yet but know that it is easy to report.

I’m so in love with the buildings modern design especially the roof garden chilling with an amazing city view, I think that it’s the best spot here. The apartment is so cosy with beautiful decorations. The Hideaway is the best place to go to if you need to work or meet friends out side your apartment.
