Decent first buy but could be better

Locals shops are around 10min walk with Edgware city centre about 30 mins walk. There is a single bus running past the development. A great range of shops and restaurants. I like the quietness of the area and greenery directly surrounding the area

Please review your development:

The design is good. Kitchen could have been better designed. They should have installed a second hard water pipe to kitchen sink or even better installed a water softener as standard due to geographical location. There is a nice little park/open area within the development. However this is ruined by thoughtless dog owners who don’t pick up after. Parking is an issue as everyday visitors park in other peoples bay. Our intercom doesn’t work so it’s a pain. Our gate scrapes the ground when been opened as closed. Management company says it’s because the ground is not level and won’t instruct Fairview to fix it. They oven make claims about damage to gate without any evidence then charge us for repairs. I feel management company is very good

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wasn’t expecting there to be 100 plus points for snagging. Poor quality control and then ask owner to go through each point and turn developers takes months to remedy it

What is the best feature of your home:

Mainly the location. Rooms are decent size as well

The design of the property is quite attractive

The nearest supermarket around the estate takes 15 mins drive, so it’s not a convenient site for daily shopping. Regarding the public transport, the bus stop is within abfew minutes walk but the tube station takes 25mins which is not so desirable especially in winter time.

Please review your development:

The design of the property is quite attractive but the quality of facilities in the bathroom, toilet and also those windows and doors in the house is quite low. The building management is responsive in making reply whereas the property management, there is room for improvement.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

No water tap for garden in the original plan which was later to be installed by the developer but I had already paid someone else to fix one for me.

What is the best feature of your home:

The kitchen cabinet is the best, especially the material of the cabinet doors, which is easy to clean and care.

Love the area just don’t like being lied to

Love the area just don’t like being lied to about visitor parking before we bought our home the sales team gave you all the things you wanna hear but didn’t live up to any promises. 2-year warranty doesn’t have any grounds literally after 1 year they will fob you off as much as they can.

Please review your development:

Property management company are not as independent as they say and don’t live up to anything continuous problems with the gate. they are badly installed but they don’t fight it fairview. 2 year warranty isn’t a warranty at all soon as its above 1 year they do anything to get of doing anything simple as that.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I i wish had known there was no visitor parking as I would have chosen a different option or a different home.

What is the best feature of your home:

home, in general, is a nice size and generally oh k

The good and not so bad!

Verified Resident

On the whole there is no problem with the local area. Transport links are good with a bus right outside that goes to Edgware station. There is no traffic noise as it’s not a through road and there is little anti social behaviour. Parking is a problem as it seems people didn’t take on board that there is no visitor parking here, so you often arrive home to find someone in your space. Many residents have had to pay out themselves to install bollards. Overall I’d say it was pleasant living here.

Please review your development:

The design of the flats seem good, the houses look a little odd and very uniform! It’s hard to know who to approach with problems as it seems Fairview, IGEM and IDS all have a hand in managing the building so it’s confusing for a lot of the residents.
The parking is an issue, there are electric charging points but they seem to have been assigned without asking if the owner of that space needs one – we certainly weren’t asked when purchasing – so it means those with electric cars have no charging points and those without electric cars have them, it seems a very ad hoc way of allocating the parking.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

We wish we had known that the block had housing association flats in it before we bought. We were of the opinion that the block was all private owners. As we were moving from a block that had housing association flats in that had caused numerous anti social behaviour problems it would have been a deal breaker for us had we been informed. It will also affect the value of our flat should we sell as the flat is not in a private block.

What is the best feature of your home:

The balcony, it gives us a whole other “room” in the summer.
