Pet-friendly oasis for laid-back Londoners

Fizzy Stepney is a modern and friendly building with a real community feel. We were first attracted to the building as it is one of the few pet-friendly developments in central London, and having so many animals in the building makes it feel so much more like a home. Our cat loves pottering about on our spacious ground-floor terrace, and we feel very comfortable in our roomy flat. Our BOB Laura is friendly and prompt to respond to our queries, and any issues that arise are resolved quickly and stress-free. Hands down the best place we have rented in London, cannot recommend Fizzy highly enough!

Fizzy Stepney is in a great location. It’s conveniently close to the tube, good bus links and there are several supermarkets within walking distance. You can walk to a number of different places including Mile End and Victoria parks, the Genesis independent cinema and Stepney City farm – which has a great market and cafe!

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

It took us a few months to discover that you can fully open windows and doors widely! We asked our neighbours who were able to direct us.

What is the best feature of your home:

The best feature of our home is our outdoor terrace, where we can entertain friends and grow our own veg!

The building is well located. Near to a park and canal if you like to run.
There are many shops. It is near to the underground and bus stations.
The building management is effective. If you have a problem with some repairs they are always there to help you.

The building is quite modern, well equiped and clean. There’s space to store bicycles and Super fast broadband internet services included in the rent.
Flats are spacious, well organized and equiped with good quality appliances.
The building is Pet friendly and other tenants are very friendly, which promotes frequent encounters with our little animal friends.
My flat receives a lot of sun light during the whole day and I have a beatiful view of the city centre and Canary Wharf.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

I love the region! There are plenty of green spaces nearby where I use to go for a walk and it is very easy to get to the city centre by underground or walking.
The region is well served by Distrinct, Hammersmith, Circle and Central lines as well as bus lines.
In terms of shops, there are 2 large super markets on walking distance and smaller ones closer to the development.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The blinds are white and doesn’t really block external light. Took me a bit of time to get used to it.

What is the best feature of your home:

Getting sunlight during the whole day makes my days much more energic!

The building is modern, with an eco-friendly design – the underfloor heating is a major perk which we love! The communal areas are bright, clean and well maintained, and our flat is light and airy, with lots of storage. Our Fizzy BOB Laura is brilliant, always keeps us updated with developments and is quick to resolve any issues or queries we have. It truly is a great place to live!

Fizzy Stepney is perfectly placed in a quiet residential area surrounded by a several parks. There are a number of supermarkets within easy walking distance including Sainsburys, Coop, Lidl and ASDA. The building is less than 10 minutes walk from Stepney Green or Mile End tube stations, and Limehouse DLR is also nearby. We like visiting the Genesis cinema, Allotment Kitchen at Stepney City Farm and Yurt Cafe which are all in the area.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The doors to the flats close quietly on their own – you don’t have to pull them closed which saves a lot of door banging and corridor noise. A sleep saver!

What is the best feature of your home:

Our favourite feature of our home has got to be our ground floor terrace! We have loved filling it with plants and watching it flourish – it’s brilliant to sit out there on a sunny morning with a coffee. Our cat loves sunning herself out here too!

Great modern design with lots of space and natural light in the apartments.
All appliances are also modern.
There is convenient mailroom storage and bike storage.
We got lots of events organised for residents by the managing company.
Finally our building manager is also very friendly and ready to help with anything.

Apartments are close to many grocery stores, cafes and restaurants. Also very close to Mile End Park and 30mins walk from Victoria park.
Mile End and Stepney green stations are in 5mins walk distance, with Limehouse DLR also in 15mins walking distance.
Apartments facing the shared garden are very quiet from any kind of traffic noise.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The apartments get warm very easily during the winter and retain the heat during the night. Also the area is really quiet.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Management is always fast to reply and our building manager is very friendly and happy to answer any concerns and try to find solutions to any issues we may have.

When you live here, everything is a lot simpler

When you live here you are spoiled by the Management.
The building is very well kept with cleaning staff always around; the support team is always ready to fix any problem and our Bob is amazing – she’s always ready to help you with question.
This support has been crucial during the pandemic, when we were all forced to work from home. This demanded a lot more from the services provided, e.g. wi-fi, and we were not disappointed.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

The area is very good.
Half way between the City and Canary Wharf, Stepney Green is quite quiet yet close to everything.
The Tube station is 5min walk away but, if you like walking you can have everything at walking distance.
Very close to Roman Road and its shops and street markets.
When it comes to supermarkets, the hardest thing is to chose the brand and size, all walking distance away.
Surgeries, pharmacies, hospitals… easiest place in London, in my experience.
But what I like the most it’s how close the Mile End and Victoria Parks are – awesome places for a good run, meet with friends or just unwind your thoughts with a good walk.

The Fizzy App which is the way we all communicate with each other, specially in times of isolation. With the app we share experiences, ask for help, exchange unwanted items… it became a great virtual community, during the pandemic.

What is the best feature of your home:

The view!
From my balcony, I can enjoy the Canary Wharf skyline.
And it’s the best place to live if you have pets! 🙂

No hassle living (sighs in relief)

The building is a new build, which means, most things work. If you have any issues, you can contact the property manager and they’ll answer promptly. The only issues I’ve had with the building were me not understanding how the stove’s extractor worked, but Laura, my property manager, was very nice and explained exactly how it worked.

My patio is very convenient, and my flat overall is very spacious. Also, the available internet options are insane! Hyperoptic delivers symmetric upload and download speeds for a cheap price (subsidised by Fizzy, I am guessing).

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Not much opportunity to take advantage of shops, but the parks and supermarkets are great and very convenient.

Bin collections come at just the right time, although sometimes I wish recycling came sooner.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

You rarely need to have the heating on. So you will spend less than 100GBP a month on bills. I spend about 50.

If there is one thing you would change about your flat or property what would it be:

I would love for the bath to come with some fittings for a curtain. That’s it. Everything else is perfect.

Development is very professionally constructed. Design is very modern and facilities are good too. Our local building / property management team / BOB (i.e. Laura) is excellent too – addressing our issues as and when required. In terms of insulating, the underfloor heating is however not particularly effective.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

The range and quality of local shops is excellent – there is a local Sainsbury’s and Co-op nearby and a very big Asda very close by. More limited selection of good restaurants and bars nearby though. Victoria Park is a very short walk away and is an excellent space to chill in good weather.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The blinds aren’t entirely effective in blocking out light – would have probably purchased my own at the start.

What is the best feature of your home:

The bedrooms are well-sized (and a work station can easily be created) – particularly important given the current WfH situation.

Flats are spacious, modern, functional and well insulated. Appliances are of good quality and checked regularly. One area that could be improved is storage, especially for clothes. When going with the rented furniture package, only two small dressers are included for a two bedroom apartment which isn’t really much

Plenty of shops available on the High Street, coop and 2x sainsbury’s within walking distance and ocado delivers too! Easy reach from Shoreditch giving access to all delivery restaurants from the main apps

At night, especially in summer, the area can be a bit noisy as many people meet outdoors

What is the best feature of your home:

How spacious it is and the fact that it uses floor to ceiling windows and it’s south facing, it’s lovely during sunny days

The building is generally designed pretty well with a modern aesthetic. It’s clean and kept in good repair in general but there are a few minor negatives to mention.

Firstly, the underfloor heating in general is not particularly strong and doesn’t really heat up the place.
Secondly, there is a lack of airflow in the rooms so condensation builds up very quickly, especially in the winter when windows are closed more often.
Lastly, sound seems to travel quite easily so it’s difficult to play music even slight loudly without disturbing others.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Only negatives would be that there seems to be some construction going on nearby which is very loud very early in the morning and also that there’s a streetlight right outside my window which the blind doesn’t block.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Wish I had known that a cupboard was not provided and would have to source one myself. Secondly, that the blinds don’t really block out light very well which sometimes makes it difficult to sleep.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Management has generally responded promptly to any issues and goes out of their way to be helpful.

The actual flat in the facility is modern, well maintained and comfortable. Pet friendly is key for our family and our pets, Winterfell (Yorkie) and Charlize (Bombay Cat). They are absolutely in love with the view and walking areas.

After living in the west, we find ourselves very comfortable and very close to Spittafields Market, Victoria Park and Brick Lane. Having access to District, Central and Hammersmith and City, gives you access to other areas of London in minutes.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

We have being pleasently surprised of the community sense with tje neighbors in the building.

If there is one thing you would change about your flat or property what would it be:

I will suggest bigger closets in the bedrooms and additional rent storage.
