Native Reviews

“The concierge are just amazing. When there was a minor issue in the flat, such as the lightbulb fusing, (or when I accidentally broke the TV cable), the concierge reacted immediately. The problems were fixed and replaced instantaneously. In previous flat I had issues with my post and parcels, but here it’s just so much easier since the concierge take all deliveries. All the furnishing in my flat is brand new and well done to a style that suits me. There is complimentary WiFi which is a massive bonus. One great feature was when I moved in; they sent an email with instructions for how to set up the bills and use the utilities. I thought this was an extra touch where Dalston Works goes the extra mile.” – Adam, a verified resident at Dalston Works You can read more reviews from Native residents by clicking on the properties below. Excellent management, modern apartments :)

The Almere is a great place to live. The apartment is modern and well laid out with lots of storage space and good quality appliances and furniture (I especially love the massive dishwasher). There’s a ventilation system in each apartment which can be “boosted” as necessary. I really like that the two-bed apartment also has two bathrooms. The Almere is pet-friendly which meant we could finally get a cat! Any maintenance issues get resolved super quickly and efficiently.

The facilities are also very nice. Downstairs, there’s seating + tv + coffee machine in the lobby, as well as the Gathering Place which is used for events + table tennis. Upstairs, there’s the large sky lounge with seating + tables + games, as well as a kitchen, a coworking space and a huge outdoor terrace with bbq. All the shared spaces are kept clean. There’s also regular events on like exercise classes and cooking classes. At this price point, all that’s missing is an on-site gym.

The staff (management, reception and maintenace team) are all really friendly. When I first enquired about renting, Mustafa replied promptly and was with us through the whole process from viewing to moving in. He and Natalie were both really helpful answering questions – Mustafa even sent us a video of the unit we would be renting. Since moving in, they’ve always replied really quickly to emails and they’re always happy to help or just have a chat when you pass through reception!

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

The Almere is centrally located in Milton Keynes, right next to The Hub which has plenty of restaurants, a 10 minute walk from the centre:mk shopping centre, and ~10 minutes the other direction for the train station. There’s also a big Sainsbury’s right across the road, and a Bannatyne gym + pool next door. It’s really quiet in this area all day and night. The downside of living in the city centre is that you have to pay for a parking permit. The nearest “resident” permit bays are a short walk away, but if you want to park right outside the development you have to pay for the more expensive Green permit (or have an electric vehicle).

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Bit of a weird one but the beds are really heavy so it’s not really practical to move them if you want to rearrange the furniture.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Any maintenance issues have been dealt with promptly and efficiently. The maintenance team are friendly and I never feel like they’re cutting corners or trying to do something they’re not equipped to do.

Great Place to be Alive.

The design of The Junction is brilliant. its modern and very well specified. The layout is well considered with outside walkways and hidden gardens. The use of the old viaduct is a master stroke of design. Im not sure if it was intentional but it really feels that the viaduct runs through the buildings connecting them together. The facilities are a little lacking at the moment, but if what has been promised is delivered then it will become one of the best places to live in Leeds City Centre.

This is our second experience of BTR and the move in to the Junction was far superior to our previous experience, The team during our sign up process were brilliant answering everything we needed and promptly. On arrival Matthew and Polly made us feel very welcome and Matthew took us to our apartment and made sure everything was fine.
A really nice touch was being contacted the night before asking what temperature we would like the apartment hearting set at.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

The local area is already good but when the development is finished it will be even better. 10 minute walk from Leeds City Centre along the canal is a really pleasant walk. Transport links are crucial to me and the access is easy to the motorway and main A roads. Parking is at the development under cover so its really convenient. Great glazing so next to no traffic noise.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I was expecting secure bike storage. However, this isn’t ready yet so i have to keep my bike in my apartment. Not ideal.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Only been in one day so not had to raise any major issues. A small problem was dealt with immediately.

Premium City Centre Living

I love the design of the warehouse apartment I live in. The exposed brick, original cast iron features and large windows were exactly what I was looking for. I love the furniture package within the warehouses and it’s rare to find a warehouse style flat that comes with such good modern amenities. Would like a bit more storage though.

The gym and the private dining room are my most used amenities here. The gym is very well equipped and leagues above the facilities you usually find in other apartment blocks, and means I have no need for a membership elsewhere. The private dining room is an amazing social space for parties and the terrace attached to it is a complete suntrap in summer.

The building management are very responsive and in my experience have been superb. The front desk team are always very friendly and accommodating with special shoutouts to Faye, Frankie, Edmer and Chris. Nicole was very helpful throughout my referencing and leasing process, and Katie has been great with many things but specifically my blinds! Amy and Damion in the maintenance department are quick to respond to requests that are easily logged on their app/resident webpage.

Community seems to be a very strong aspect to this development and it shows in the many events they put on. From lots of arts and craft socials, wine and cheese nights, breakfast clubs to their health and well-being classes and the 5-a-side football they host, there are plenty of ways to get to meet the community and make new friends if you wanted to. I’ve also attended their large parties at Seven Brother’s Brewery and The Beeswing, with DJs, food from the local restaurants and a tab behind the bar – so there is a healthy budget towards these events too!

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

A great time to move to Kampus. Coming out of the pandemic, there was an understandable delay with the ground floor restaurants, bakeries, bars and convenience stores opening. I am so glad they are all open now! There are convenience stores very close by at the station and Piccy Gs, but having General Stores downstairs has been a godsend for last minute ingredients and dog food.

I was very surprised by the amount of soundproofing the apartments offer for outside noise, considering the central location. There are a few noises that will be completely unavoidable living near Canal Street, but overall the sounds proofing is great.

This location couldn’t be closer to every form of public transport you’d need: coaches from National Express on Chorlton Street, buses and trams from Piccadilly Gardens, and trains from Piccadilly Station. I’ve used Sixt just over the road and they have great car rental options too. I have no need for parking but I know Kampus have a well-managed system on site.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

You are able to change apartments within the development easily if you wanted to. I don’t wanted to at the moment, but it’s really good to know.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Responses are very quick and issues are addressed just as quickly where possible. Any issues that have faced delays are always down to the external contractors they are tied in to instruct. The on site team go above and beyond so nothing negative to say about them.

Interior design is stunning

Our first visit was with Michelle she then guided us through the application stage and moving date. Michelle has always been professional friendly and knowledgeable and is always on hand to speak to. The reception staff are amazing too! Matthew is the perfect person for the job. Nothing is too much trouble and Thalia is always friendly and helpful. In short this is a lovely place to call home and the staff just make it that bit more special.

The interior design is stunning and more importantly comfortable. The co working areas are spacious with great facilities such as meeting rooms, plug sockets everywhere, ultra fast broadband and kitchen facilities. There are gardens with plenty of benches, table tennis tables and a soon to be opened outdoor sports court. The apartments are spacious and very well fitted out. There is clearly a good deal of snagging done before you move in as our apartment was spotless. Unlike most new build homes.

There are a range of activities for tenants to take part in. This gives you an opportunity to meet your neighbours. Everyone we have met so far has been friendly.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

The apartment is situated within a short walk to everything you could need and more. With further developments in progress the area is only going to grow giving even more to us and other local residents. The train station is only a short walk, walking a bit further and you are in the city center. The area is closed off to non residents with its own access and secure parking. Key fob entry and 24 hour staffed reception makes it a safe and secure place to live.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

There are no bad points to The Junction. There are continued building works taking place but this does not have any affect on the people living here and certainly shouldn’t put anyone off wanting to live here.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

With any new builds there are always teething problems. If something can go wrong it will go wrong but with a team like they have at the Junction it wont be long before its put right!

Any issues are communicated quickly and there is always someone to speak to should you have any problems.
