Wiltshire is one of the larger counties in England and has many beautiful towns and stretches of pristine countryside to explore. Whether you’re looking for a rural retreat or metropolitan excitement, Wiltshire will have something for you. We’ll take a look at some of the best areas in Wiltshire, as well as what universities are available there and which Wiltshire schools rank among the country’s best!
Great location, wish the house was what was advertised
It’s fairly quiet, but it has some lovely pubs and places to eat. M4 is only a stone’s throw away. Bristol isn’t very far away, and Bath is only 15 mins away. There are a few loud drivers that seem to have installed rockets in their cars, so now and again they speed by the estate for no obvious reason, but generally the local wildlife seems tame and polite. Train station is planned to open in a few years time, so that will make it easier to get in a train directly to London. We’re happy that we bought a house here, just wish it was with a better developer.
Please review your development:
Lovely looking houses, but very impractical. The internal layout wasn’t thought through properly, everything is cheaply made and rushed (much like the development), so stuff breaks and falls apart all the time, and not exactly energy-efficient – house doesn’t hold the heat in. Property management (Remus) picks numbers out of thin air and sends you an annual bill that, when questioned, even THEY can’t explain. Maintenance of the development is carried out by some lad you might find working at Homebase. Communication from Remus and Redcliffe is great until they have your money, after which point they’re hard to get a hold of. Gardens, mine and a lot of the neighbours’, are sloped and they have so much rubble underneath that they become boggy and make it very difficult to keep the lawn healthy/grow plants. Garages are too small to keep your car in, and it’s only a few houses on the estate that have a twin garage – most of them don’t.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
Rising costs of property management. House being so energy inefficient
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
They’re difficult to get a hold of and will maybe answer once but not follow up
