We are a big family, our flat is spacious and modern. Everything inside my flat is brand new and everything is good. I chose to live here because it is a good place for families, schools and parks too close by.

The Edge is another popular new development close to Burnt Oak station in Edgware. This scheme offers one, two and three bedroom flats as well as a number of four bedroom houses.

The apartment is nice spacious and modern, the apartment is self contained which is exactly what I was looking for. The kitchen and bathroom were new and gorgeous when I moved in which I expect.

Great build, new development and is very nice inside, big and spacious, bathroom and kitchen very good condition. My house is three stories and fits my whole family with ease. I chose this property because of how big the house is and it doesn’t disappoint.

DONT BUY A STRATA HOUSE
Plumbing, Windows and brick work very poor. customer service is shocking. Raised concerns about vents that were defective and looked to be faulty.

The vents had a massive gap between the windows and the actual vent allowing a large draft through even when vents closed. This was the case on every window.
Window fitters came to look at the vents whilst I was at work. I came home to be absolutely shocked to find they had sealed all of the vents with silicone, which is clearly not what should have been done Obviously I wasn’t happy with this and raised this further. They then came back out and agreed they needed replacing. This was then raised with Strata who decided they couldn’t be bothered to resolve this and just closed it down. When I chased this up I was told I’m now out of warranty and will not be taking this further. I have giving them ample opportunity to resolve this just to be ignored.

Therefore I’m writing this review and will now be opening a claim to take this to NHBC and a small claims court. If you want your house to be bodged then buy a strata house. If not then I’d advise you to stay well away. They also managed to build my garage 3ft higher than it should have been meaning I have 2ft of foundation sticking above ground and again failed to rectify. I’ve had multiple leaks from toilets and sinks, 4 attempts to fix a leaking toilet from day one. Kinked pipes which I’ve resolved myself. MeadFleet the ground works company will just increase there prices whenever they want. This has increased by over 100% in 2 years and quality of the work is poor. Still rubble all over the place from 4 years ago.

I’ve been dealing with customer services who bare face lies and will not return any calls. If someone would like to contact me regarding this feel free.

Plot 4 Aura.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

MeadFleet raising prices every couple of months, general maintenance not included in grounds costs such as cutting back trees

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Failed, lied about responses, didn’t call back on multiple occasions and failed to honour warranty.

Great Development – very modern looking

Review Date Feb 2023

Edgware high street is a short drive with all the shops you need. Great transportation links too with the Northen Line and locals buses

Please review your development:

Development is very modern looking, parking onsite with a park being built. All functions seem to be working as expected. There is also a primary school next door as well as a tesco express around the corner. The brick layout is ideal as it won’t rust over time

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wasn’t aware there was a graveyard nearby but luckily that doesn’t affect my property

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Fantastic! Problems have been fixed quickly and efficiently

Amazing in every aspect. Huge shout out to Katy and the whole team , sales and after sales both !
Can’t fault it , love the developer, don’t have enough praises for the builders. Smooth process.
We went through a bad experience before and this one was like a breeze, we decided on the first visit and booked it right away 🙂

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

We got artifical grass !! Yayyy 😆 Didn’t t know this before and was a pleasant surprise

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Excellent response. Sales is always awesome but for after sales to be this good is not something we imagined. Prompt response on any issues we have raised so far, and most people who come over for to have a look are very friendly and informative. Always a pleasure dealing with Fairview in every aspect

Modern flats in Edgware centre

Verified Resident
Verified Resident
Review Date Oct 2022

Been living in this area for more than 2 years now. There’s a lot of activity in Edgware and a wide range of shops and also very accessible to the Northern Line and Jubilee Line. For the past year (2021-2022), there has been a lot of approved roadworks around the area, which has considerably increased traffic.

Please review your development:

Design – modern flats with a neutral tone, i love the hardwood floors and the terrace (for some flats)
Facilities – apart from parking, there’s not much in terms of facility. However, i don’t think it needs extra facilities because there’s a few already around the area (e.g. gyms)
Building Management – I think the building manager I once knew is no longer around, I haven’t encountered or interacted with the replacement. Building remains generally clean. Although, the lift easily gets dirty.
Property Management – I think the entrance on Spring Villa Road can do a little but more cleaning

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Roadworks are common around Edgware/Harrow. There has been a lot within the year (2021-2022), which has increased traffic.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

It really depends. A lot of the communication is done via email and sometimes they are quick and other times, they are not.
