Local shops, restaurants, bars and open space are all very accessible and close by being greatly place on the border of Wales/England we have the choice of Chester city or going rural pubs.
Transport links are great, train station 10 mins away and plenty of buses.
Our street is lovely and clean with bins collected on time and tenants keeping them in the designated places. Parking is not great, we have two spaces for our 3bed which is great but a lot of the houses only have one making alot of people park on the street blocking drives and obstructing the paths. We have just found we have a brand new park opened on our development which know correspondence was given and we spotted whilst out on our Halloween trail so fab but would have been nice to know it’s been there since May.

Please review your development:

The design of the houses and building are lovely, and very smart, they have done a variety of different builds making it more nice to look at and less Sims game lol.
Building management is great in terms of the app to log and faults, they are seen and fixed fast. The upkeep of the grass, plants and bushes on our development have been amazing.
I would say the inside has been done in a rush, poor quality paint has meant patches and it’s not cleanable paint either so you can’t give the walls a wipe down without paint coming off. The window linings have been done poorly and sloppy with uneven seals and the to mention NO child locks. Our back door has broken 3 times but has been fixed within 24 hours on every occasion. The back garden grass is terrible, uneven and patchy, we have spend money and paid a service to try and give the grass some help but still terrible.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I knew the paint was a base colour and not washable on the walls as I would of repainted with a better quality white paint before moving furniture in. Also that back garden grass needs constant work and upkeep because it’s new

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Fantastic and on time. Log the issue on the app, respond within 24-48 hours fixed within a good timeframe.

Hi Whitney,

Thank you so much for your detailed and valuable feedback! Unfortunately as the roads are not owned by Simple Life, we are unable to enforce anything around the parking, but following feedback form residents at this site we will do all that we can to help mitigate the situation. We will also feed your helpful comments in to the team around the spec of paint that is being used!

We’re delighted to hear that overall you’re happy in your home and with Simple Life as your landlord, and that you feel the service we have provided to you has been quick, friendly and helpful!

There are good and bad points in the development

No shops on development just a Spar in Garden City. Better now shortcut is open to Garden City. Parking is terrible and cars are frequently parked on the path. Can’t get passed

Please review your development:

Design of house is good, property and building management is not good. It takes forever to get anything fixed. 5 weeks without a working freezer. 1 week of having 2 blocked toilets and me having to complain twice. Shouldn’t have to that long without a toilet

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Neighbours are ok and no noise it’s peaceful here. It’s good that you can bring pets here

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

After I complained for a 2nd time the toilets got fixed the next day. But shouldn’t have to complain twice.

Hi Andrea,

Thank you for your honest and valuable feedback.

We believe we have been able to identify your tenancy based on the information you have supplied in your review.

We can see that the freezer did take much longer to be fixed than we would expect, we apologise for this. We can see that we were let down by Electrolux, the manufacturer, who initially advised a new part would be required, they then had a delay in that part being available and then upon their second visit advised that a replacement appliance would be required instead. Although this is no excuse for your wait and the inconvenience caused, this isn’t something Simple Life could foresee and we can see that regular check-ins were made by the team with yourself to keep on top of progress in order to chase the contractor as much as possible from our side. We can also see that the contractor has reported some delays were due to having trouble getting responses from the resident.

Regarding the block toilets, we can see this was raised on 2nd November and fixed on 9th November, due to needing a date where the resident was available to be present at the time of the contractor visit.

Despite these issues, we’re pleased to hear that you would still recommend Simple Life as your landlord. Thank you for your feedback as this will help us to identify where processes have fallen down and where we can improve our services.

Great development

Conveniently located with a short commute into Chester to take advantage of lower costs. Also easy access to motorway to Liverpool or Manchester. Nice neighborhood but with lots of developments so may get busy in years to come.

Please review your development:

Properties are well designed but not much storage in our unit. Good open spaces and paths throughout community with plenty of parking. Be interesting to see how things get with all the other developments in the area – traffic may become an issue. Overall very good.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Make sure to collect your recycling bags first thing in the morning or they tend to go missing.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yes they have. When we moved in as first tenants the house had a few issues right away but they were eventually sorted.

Very poor choice locally in terms of shops and restaurants.
It’s a very quiet area on the plus side.

Please review your development:

The development is well designed and maintained, the council let’s it down with poor public bin collections.
The property is designed as a rental so the layout of the upstairs does not make the best use of the space. The front garden is maintained which is great!

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The houses are designed for rental in their layout.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Perfectly, only one issue and solved within a week

Hi Lloyd,

Thank you for your review! We’re pleased to hear that you’re happy with the services provided by Simple Life and that you would recommend us as your landlord.

We’re sorry you were not happy with your rental increase. As we are not an Affordable provider, our rents are in-line with average market rents for your area so unfortunately, rental increases are unavoidable. If any residents are facing temporary hardship, we always encourage an open conversation so we can review any interim solutions to help ease any pressure.
