The development of Thames City has some of the best interior designs in London – art deco style building with amazing facilities, 30 metre pool and a huge gym, 24-hour concierge and security and a sky bar, lounge and pool table etc. I would prefer to have more private working areas, more hot desking spaces etc. There is a conference room but if it is booked you cant use it. There is a library but again if people are talking or on the phone you cant focus with your own work. Property Management company is some of the most responsive teams I have ever known, comparing to Rendall & Rittner.
Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:
The best thing about living in Thames City is the distance to tube stations – Nine Elms and Vauxhall, both less than 5 mins walk. Buses are pretty frequent from Vauxhall to other areas of Central London or Clapham/Wandsworth. The area is relatively safe given the police presence surrounding the US Embassy. The only issue currently is the choice of small independent cafes aren’t available, although I can see places opening here and there. Same with restaurants, mainly Portuguese food or chains. I would prefer to see more independent restaurants and more Asian food options.
