What is E14 famous for?

E14 is definitely best known as the site of London’s Canary Wharf, the huge, modern financial district centred around East London’s old docklands. The area is also home to the quintessentially east-end haunts of Poplar and Limehouse. The BBC’s enduring drama series Call The Midwife is set in 1950s Poplar.

E14 transport connections

E14 has some of the best transport connections anywhere outside Central London. The Jubilee Line serves Canary Wharf, while the Docklands Light Railway (DLR) has several stops throughout the area, including all the way to the south of the Isle of Dogs peninsula. By road, the key arterial roads of the A13 and A12 run through the area, providing access towards Central London and out to the M25 and beyond.
