Very nice atmosphere and people, modern design, improvement could be made on the speed of the refurbishment of the pool and gym.

The flats are really nice, modern in design being newly refurbished, with a lot of daylight. The facility that the property comes with are the pool and the gym. They are really nice, I’ve been using them daily and there is never too many people at the same time so it is nice to relax in the pool or to concentrate on your work out. However, the renovation of the facilities is taking way too long. As it has started in November 2019 and we are now in September 2020 and it hasn’t been completed yet. Partly because of COVID-19 slowing the progress down, but at the same time the works were planned to be finished in February which was before the UK went into lockdown. The price is on the higher end but considering the location and the facilities that should be already available, it is reasonable. However, not happy about paying for the facilities for the last 9 months and not being able to use them.

Great location with very nice atmosphere and amazing people. Made so many new friends thanks to the wonderful people who actually live here as well. There is a lot of very nice bars around as the property is located in the cultural quarters. And there are many shops near by.

Definitely negotiate the price as they are really open to negotiations as the prices are quite high to start with.

What is the best feature of your home:

The location of the property is definitely the biggest selling factor as well as the gated community with a nice courtyard.

Very nice appartment. Very secure. Lift & stairs access. Very central. Basic design but suits our needs. We haven’t had any problems with getting meter readings or contacting our landlord for repairs. The complex i very quiet – there is limited noise from neighbours. Our appartment overlooks a green space with lovely lime trees & birds. Not on a main road so no noise from traffic.

Very central. Secure parking. Close to amenities.

Some bike theft reported from parking garage so we don’t store our bikes there as we had hoped. We keep them in our appartment instead.

View onto churchyard. Leafy & green with lots of nature & very quiet.

The complex is made up of two buildings, I am currently in Building 21 which made up of 4 floors. It is important to note that there is no elevator or lift which is very frustrating. This block is a mixture of studios, 1 bed, and 2 bed properties. The refurbish properties are very nice. The hallways need a bit of TLC, the carpets are quite dirty and the general appearance results in frequently being asked if I’m living in student halls. I have faced various issues with troublesome neighbours in the past, though this has improved recently. Maintenance is very good and issues get resolved very quickly – they have a great team of on-site maintenance workers who are a fantastic asset to Queen Street. Regarding the management team, emails occasionally go amiss, so I’ve learned for general day-to-day things its better to phone or go to the office and speak face to face. The team at Queen Street are friendly, polite, and courteous.

The area is central to the city centre of Leicester, the train station is a 5 minute walk away along with the Highcross and various shops and restaurants. Leicester Royal Infirmary is a 10 minute walk away.

There is no additional information I needed to know before moving in.

If there is one thing you would change about your flat or property what would it be:

The communal areas could do with modernisation – also, the intercom system appears to be complicated for people using it as often get calls asking for help – I wish they had a video entry system. Also, better signage to the floors from the entrance would be ideal.

The building where I live has many facilities that are available for the tenants to use, such as pool, gym, and rooms to host social events. The management of the building is great, there’s always people available at the fronts desk to help with any issue and to provide you with the necessary information you might require

I like the location, it is close to the city center and the cultural quarter. It has grocery shops near by. The street does not have a lot of traffic or noise throughout the day. It is a clean a safe area of the city.

What is the best feature of your home:

It is spacious, all of the furniture is well maintained and the flat is well equipped.

Very friendly people, community and atmosphere. Have always felt very safe in the area and the home environment is no different. Would highly recommend the area and development to both students and young professionals. And pets are welcome, what more could you want?!

Good location. The place is well situated. Close to the train station, easy access to South of the country. Also close to several gyms and universities. Ideal for students and city workers alike. Apartments are spacious and new. Communal area still being developed but looks good.

Since I moved the facilities such as common areas, swimming pool and gym have been closed for maintenance, so I couldn’t enjoy them at the moment.
The house is great, nice furnitures and it was really nice that when we moved we requested to empty one of the bedrooms for having an office space, and next day all the furnitures were out of here

Really nice area. In city centre. The only inconvenience is that there is no recycling bins closed and the complex doesn’t recycle
