Great location with access to cafes, Battersea Park and transport links

When we moved in a few years ago, we (and everyone else in the building) repeatedly experienced issues with access to hot water which was not expected given the modern building and facilities. There was also a problem with the gym (whereby adequate sound proofing wasn’t considered in the initial design) which in the long run meant that the flats next door complained about the sound. This resulted in the gym being closed for a considerable amount of time and was eventually moved to a smaller section of the development with no wifi. Overall the staff at the concierge have been lovely with the exception of one staff member verbally abusing me whilst I had my baby strapped onto me. I did raise a complaint which was acknowledged but it did make my time at the flat very uncomfortable whilst he was employed.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

The best part of this development is the easy access to Battersea park and transport links whether it be the national rail, the new northern line tube, ferry and bus. It’s a great location for families as you are surrounded by a few schools and nurseries which is incredibly convenient if you decide to send your kids here. The downside is that if you have a car you might find it difficult to find parking during the school drop off/pick-up. There are also a few cafes that have opened in the past few years and hopefully more cafes, shops etc will open as the Battersea development progresses.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

none

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

CBRE response to the issues/problems we faced with our apartment was largely dependent on who was responsible for actioning them. When we initially moved in, we had issues with the cleanliness of the flat and requested for specific broken items to be fixed before we moved in which was a challenge to resolve. Savills’ representative did her best to help with the incident that I experienced with one of the staff members at the concierge.

Modern flats near Clapham Junction, great for young professionals

Design from the exterior is average, however interior design is very modern and clean. Roof terrace is brilliant, fantastic views from the terrace. Unfortunately opening hours of terrace is during concierge operating hours only, limited access on weekends. Concierge very attentive and helpful, quick to contact contractors for repairs and issues. Unfortunately poorly managed communal bin areas, no regular bin collections so it can become quite overfilled. Great soundproofing, have not heard any noise disturbance from neighbours.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Fantastic area, close to train station, convenient to travel & commuting. Limited parking available nearby and no parking associated with this development.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Great concierge service which removed a lot of stresses around moving in vans and furniture deliveries

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Contacted concierge and they contacted the contractors, very quick to resolve issues. Also easily contactable via after sales team email.

Unfair treatment

We’ve lived in battersea for seven years and are thrilled to be able to stay locally with a shared ownership property. However, we’re made to feel like second class citizens all the time no being able to use the gym, not having access to the concierge and even being completely
Missed out for carpet cleaning. It’s immoral and wrong. We pay service charge too and in two years we’ve had our windows cleaned twice.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Great area. Some noise but nothing too disruptive.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

No access to facilities that other do!

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Terrible – slow and uncommunicative. The doors are forever broken and this
Makes me question the safety of the development.

Floor-to-ceiling windows let a significant amount of light into the properties and aesthetically look great.

Floor-to-ceiling windows let a significant amount of light into the properties and aesthetically look great. Internally the build quality is good and in line with expectations for a new build property.
The external spaces adjacent to each building, which are communally accessible have not been well designed (many people have been walking up and down the greenway bank, causing damage), there is a large area of paving that doesn’t look great/work well with traffic entering the development and the external finish in some parts does not align well with the original concept drawings/models.
Haven’t had any issues with building and property management.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Great access to local green spaces – Victoria Park, Olympic Park, the Greenway etc. are located next to the development.
Not a great amount of local shops, but this isn’t a massive issue.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Generally the communication with the developer has been fine, but had to chase for a significant period of time to get issues addressed.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

I haven’t had any problems with building management, so can’t comment specifically
