Bright, nice flat, developing area

Building is good quality, flat is really spacious and bright with the full height windows.

Neighbours are really good, proactive, all similar backgrounds and age, active community groups.

It is single aspect which is not a negative, but worth to bear in mind.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Lack of local shops. Nothing like playgrounds etc for kids/families. Schools also lacking.

There are places nearby like Vauxhall pleasure gdns, city farm and battersea park roughly 15-20 min walk, but nothing on the development.

Proximity to covent garden flower market is really good if you can wake clearly in the morning. So I have been told this.

Tbh will be really good in a few years when the area development is more complete. Up and coming.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Wish I had known, with the joint ownership model, there is dual lease with effectively two landlords. So can be some passing of responsibility.

Why did you choose this development:

Working nearby and also one of the two best opportunity areas in London.

Very pleased overall

Our home is really nicely laid out. We have made some changes to our home to allow for more space and storage such a cupboard under our stairs and cupboards in our ensuite. We are in a Souter. The development has taken a lot longer to be finished than we would have hoped and it is a bit of a pain to still have builders on site but in the current climate I think some delays are to be expected. We haven’t had any issues that haven’t been dealt with.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Our development is very close to public transport and a short walk to local shops. Our estate is very quiet and peaceful. We are over looking the new orchard that is still being finished but it is a beautiful view. We have experienced no anti social behaviour or traffic noise from our house. We live fairly close to the train line but dont find it at all disruptive and barely notice the noise anymore.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I would love to have known and still would a little more about the play area that is going to be going up in the field.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

We haven’t really had any issues but any questions we have had such around our house have been answered.

The perfect mixture of city and countryside

Overall we are happy with development and like that the houses vary in design and are not set out in straight lines, which makes it feel more organic.

However, we have lived here for nearly two years and the road has still not been laid and the park that we were promised does not exist.

There are also certain aspects that are not very convenient. For example, the footpath does not flow around the whole development – it stops on one side and starts on the other, so you have to keep crossing to avoid walking on the road.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Being only a seven minute walk from Newington station, the transport links are very good. However, the local high street offers very little and what is there is of poor quality.

We have ample parking and the bin collection is always on time. There’s been no anti-social behaviour that we’ve been aware of.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Make sure your garden and floor is complete before you move in.

If there is one thing you would change about your flat or property what would it be:

The ugly fuse box right by the front door. Why couldn’t this go under the stairs?

We love our house, the location is lovely

We love our house, the location is lovely. We feel that the property maintenance is quite rubbish, the area is rarely mowed and we pay quite a lot for upkeep that doesn’t happen very often. We haven’t had any issues raised needing to go back to the developer and overall we are very happy.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

The local area is really nice. The park on the development was hoping would be more as promised in the plans but is ok. Parking is fine, don’t have any antisocial behaviour.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

We wish we had been told more about the process of help to buy

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

We haven’t raised any problems with the building management
