The location is rich in bars, music venues, coffee shops, etc. Though it can be load and there is an edge to the area; anyone moving here would know about the location’s reputation and energy beforehand, so these are not things to complain of. It’s vibrant and exciting. The windows a very secure, and block out an impressive amount of noise.

There is a lack of things like supermarkets nearby, but these are being built currently.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

How loud it can be, but how well the windows block out any noise. My flat is right next to a music venue and it doesn’t keep me up or disturb me.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Very quickly and politely. They resolved issues I had with my hob and wardrobe.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

I like all the independent bars and restaurants. Dislike all the building work going on. Quite noisy on a Saturday morning with the drilling. Easy links for work.

Wish we had known about all the building work going on in the area. Can’t sleep in the day.

What is the best feature of your home:

The space and the location is great about the home for city centre.

Great local area, amazing bars and food places. Transport links could do with improvement – public transport not road access. A little traffic noise but fairly quiet! Plenty of private car parks to choose from, including a cheap one opposite. Bin collection is fine, although if you live above the side of the building where the bins are put out you will likely experience lots of fruit flies.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Don’t pay to park in the car park offered in the building, go on the waiting list for flint glas wharf, also owned by the northern group, 2 mins down the road and half the price.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Could be quicker although issues we have raised aren’t essential services – just additional perks like the roof terrace not being finished and lifts that are broken aren’t always fixed quickly!

When I first moved to Manchester I always look at Ancoats as my dream neighbours. Today I’m living here and I wasn’t wrong,is a quiet place to live,with restaurants shops and bars at your doorstep,in 2 mins you can arrive to marina and relax or enjoy a rudy’s pizza. Best Neighbourhood you can choose.

I honestly don’t think there are any loose ends from day one everything was clearly explained.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

After reporting the problem, maintenance was always immediate in less than 48h.
