“I would definitely recommend living here. I like the apartment – it’s good quality and well designed. The building company (CALA) did a great job – the finish was really high quality. The area is pretty safe. Our neighbours are all really friendly.” Verified resident, Millbrook Park by CALA Homes

This development has plenty of kerb appeal

This development has plenty of kerb appeal, there are around 80 properties, well spaced around a crescent. The builder has varied the positioning of the houses, and tweaked them so you get the impression that every house is different. The design of our house, The Hunsley is most appealing, it has a beautiful kitchen, diner, day room where you can spend most of the day, a separate lounge, 3 good size bedrooms (master ensuite) family bathroom and downstair WC. The site landscaping is peaceful, a 7 acre green space well looked after, and the centre of the development. All of trades men that we have had dealings with and the site management, have been first class, responding to our question promptly and professionally.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Priors Crescent is in the quiet village of Salford Priors. It’s off School Road, although you would never know there was a school there. There is a village store/post office that has a wide range of goods, surprising for a small village, and not expensive. The local bus service has stops less than 100M from the development, with routes to Stratford Upon Avon and Evesham. Still finding out about the area but first impressions are all positive.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Would not of used BT home move service, they have been dreadful to deal with.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yes, as with all new builds there have been a few snags, but they have been, or are being dealt with.

A lovely place to live

The estate itself is beautifully presented – communal grass areas are kept well maintained and the houses all have similar external designs, which offers a nice consistent aesthetic. The build quality is superb and the internal design is really modern and clean. Features such as shower heads, taps, ceramic hob, dishwasher, fridge etc are all good quality brands rather than being cheap and cheerful. Overall you feel proud when inviting friends and family over. Roads are brand new and not full of pot-holes. The sales team are very friendly and helpful and the after sales care carried out by the site manager is outstanding. Plenty of EV charging points on site. No issues in regards to building and property management. The main downside is how tightly packed everything is – if you have your windows and doors open in the summer you can expect to hear your neighbours and you’re also concious yourself of not making too much noise in order to be considerate, but this is quite typical of a new build estate and to be expected.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Fantastic access to Godalming town centre, train station and A3. Gorgeous pub with a beautiful garden just down the road. Two private parking spaces provided so parking not an issue, although like all new build estates everything is quite tightly squeezed together! Weekly bin collections. No traffic noise. No anti-social behaviour on the estate itself, but the surrounding estates are noticably run-down, so it’s quite an unusual contrast.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

None that I can think of!

What is the best feature of your home:

The kitchen leading directly out to the garden and in-built wardrobe in the Master Bedroom.

Just alright

Build design Of houses are good, with downsize of small gardens. Roads are quite narrow from some places. Overall facilities are ok but fast speed internet like virgin was not made available at the time of build. No solar panels options were given too. Management company is big rip off, all they do is just cutting grass and charges around £180 a year. Other than that no values added by them, communication is very poor.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Nice people, good location.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Very high service charges and very bad service in return.

If there is one thing you would change about your flat or property what would it be:

Underfloor heating, solar panel, and lan cable throughout the house.

Great build and area, would highly recommend

The development is great, only 10-15 drive from the town centre where there are lots of nice restaurants and pubs, only frustration is no walk way over the main road to get to local food shops yet. Hoping this gets built by end of the year. Also there is only one way on and off the site which is frustrating. Again hopefully this will be rectified soon.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Great community and nice neighbours, plenty of parking and regular bin collections. Not far from Chichester town centre and easy access to main roads.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

That there is only one way on and off the estate via the main road

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Good team however sometimes delayed at responding.
