Southam Grange. Perfect family estate.

The design of my property is extremely well thought out and the space has been utilised in the best way possible. The only aspect of the build I would liked bloors to have spent more time on is the garden design in hindsight but this is something I have made right myself.
The layout of the estate is very nice and the facilities on the estate are good for the younger ages.

Property management is always a bone of contention on new build estate but believe as an estate we are making headway with making the best options available to us as residents.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Brilliant location and great housing development. Towns a short walk and has lots of independent friendly shops. Parking is plenty and multiple visitors spaces available.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Check what fees you have paid for and what fees are still needed to be paid.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Property management is always going to be an issue on all sites to start with. The current management team are vague with their answers but as an estate we are working with bloors and the local council to make resolve these issues.

Bloor Homes has the best properties!

To be honest, we fell in love with this estate the first time we came here. The sale office was so nice we literally weren’t ready to leave. After speaking to a few “now” neighbours, and them telling us how nice this estate was we made a strong decision to buy our first home from Bloor. The management team was so nice always helpful and happy to see us. Whenever something happened in our home (which hasn’t happened often) the site team was always ready to help and fix the problem we had! The landscape design around the estate is one of the best i have seen, loads of plants, planted by Bloor and loads of space left with just grass!

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

One of the best things in our area is the “Joey the swan” and the famous “Woodside”. There’s no problems with the bin collection or traffic noise or anti-social behaviour.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I would probably say to not worry if something went wrong because Bloor would always be happy to help and fix the problem.

What is the best feature of your home:

The best feature of our home, is the great amount of space we have in it. And one of my all time favourite is the fact that you only have to walk 5min to Joey.

The development is designed well with easy access to footpaths and local amenities.

The development is designed well with easy access to footpaths and local amenities. There appears to be lots of green space all around the development which gives it that countryside feel.
I particularly like the fact that they have made an effort to add extra trees where we have some beautiful blossom trees and also lots of other trees have been planted towards the bottom of the footpaths.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

The development at Manor farm fields is situated on the outskirts of Mickleover and has good links to the A38, Burton, Birmingham and also towards the north. There is also easy access via the A516, which leads towards the Derby Royal Hospital.
The development itself is situated within 5 to 10 minutes walking distance of Mickleover shops where there is access to a convenience store, fish and chip shop a natural health centre and Indian takeaway /restaurant.
The development has lots of Foot path’s one which leads towards Etwall village or Great Northern pub. It is very popular for cyclists and walkers alike.
This development is very quiet and has no antisocial behaviour. There are lots of families here and couples starting out with their first home.
We don’t have a particular problems with parking as all houses have off-road parking which makes it appear less cluttered with cars. Overall it’s a lovely development which I very much enjoy living on and being part off the community.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

None – I knew all about the development.

If there is one thing you would change about your flat or property what would it be:

For their to be extra bins on site for dog walkers.

New modern facilities in the home

Design is great. Clean and well spaced out . New modern facilities in the home. Plenty of space. People seem to think parking above the kerb is acceptable but with no regard for those with pushchairs or maybe even wheelchairs.Greenery is nice and well maintained which leads me to my negative. Management charge still not requested and been here now over a year.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Great place with mix of rural and town. Nice and clean.
Negative is parking as so many cars park on pavement

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

That people would buy a house with a garage and 2 parking spaces on the drive but don’t use them

What is the best feature of your home:

I like it he space and set up rooms are good size and the kitchen is great
