Couldn’t be happier

The design is amazing. It far exceeded any of my expectations. More than anything though, the girls who work at reception really make you feel at home and do a fantastic job of keeping everyone happy. As far as facilities go, it would be nice to have an indoor gym like other apartment complexes similar to this often have, but this might be my only complaint. Everything else as far as having an app to manage payments and check when your packages arrived at reception, free coffee from a very cool machine powered by an iPad in the kitchen, co-working spaces etc, easily make up for it. It’s the little attention to detail that has really made me like living here for example, the umbrellas at the front door incase you happen to forget yours. They really do think about the residents.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Thanks to the windows in the apartment, most of the loud noise from the outdoors is muted whilst they’re closed. Local area is nice and quiet. Neighborhood is developing rapidly and so over time there should be more stuff to do.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Currently it’s very quiet as it’s a new development so I barely ever bump into other people. This will likely solve itself with time. There are 7/8 floors and only 82 residents in total at the time of writing. Pros to this are that you can use any facilities whenever you want but the main con is the lack of socialisation, though this isn’t the fault of the property managers, it’s simply a matter of time.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

So far I haven’t had a single issue in regards to moving in. Any minor queries have been quickly resolved by the receptionists.

Overall we are very happy living here and very happy with the space!

We are very happy with the development, it has been planned out and furnished well. It’s great to have the office on site and the ladies are so incredibly friendly and helpful. I’m 31 weeks pregnant and they know my husband is away so made it clear they are here if I need anything! There is lots of work still going on but noise is kept to a minimum and everyone is very friendly. The property has a dishwasher, oven, fridge, freezer and a washer- I would personally really appreciate a tumble dryer but I believe this is a policy issue not a decision made by the development so we completely understand. The process moving in was great, again the girls were very helpful we were in a bit of a rush to get in and they didn’t seem to mind my constant messaging!

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

The location is fantastic, a 3 minute walk from broad street and brindley place- just what we wanted! You can walk to the bullring and new street station in about 20 minutes and it’s a very easy walk. It would be good if there was more availability for parking for visitors (well cheaper than the brindley place car park) around the area.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

That you cannot walk along the canal at the back of the property- this is not an issue as you can just get on it a little further down by where brindley place car park is but we were a little disappointed with that.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

We have only raised one issue which actually hasn’t been fixed/responded to yet but it’s only an issue with a under cabinet LED light so it’s nothing too important.

Seamless support provided by the management team

The management team, comprised of Zoe, Kyron, and Charlotte, deserve special recognition for their professionalism and dedication. They have always been approachable, responsive, and proactive in addressing any concerns or queries I’ve had. Their commitment to ensuring a comfortable living environment is truly commendable.

Furthermore, the utilities in the apartment are top-notch, providing convenience and efficiency in everyday living. I appreciate the attention to detail in ensuring that everything functions smoothly.

One aspect that stands out is the well-maintained grounds and regular updates to the property. It’s evident that the management team takes pride in their work, as the grounds are always immaculate and the facilities are kept up-to-date.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

One of the standout features of this apartment complex is the secure underground parking, providing peace of mind for residents who value safety and convenience. Knowing that my vehicle is protected adds an extra layer of comfort to my living experience.

Moreover, I’ve been consistently impressed by the regularity of bin collections and the dedication of the local team in keeping the surroundings tidy. Their attention to detail ensures that any mess is swiftly addressed, maintaining the pristine appearance of the property.

Living on the fifth floor, I’ve been pleasantly surprised by the tranquility that envelops the space. Despite being in the heart of the city, noise from the streets below is virtually non-existent, allowing for peaceful relaxation and undisturbed nights.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

In conclusion, I wholeheartedly endorse Sherborne Place to anyone seeking upscale urban living in Birmingham. With its attentive management, and unbeatable location, it sets a high standard for modern city living.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

One of the highlights of living here has been the seamless support provided by the management team (Zoe, Kyron & Charlotte). While I rarely needed to raise issues, their responsiveness and helpfulness were always evident whenever assistance was required.

I didn’t love it at first, but I am coming around now.

I’m about four months in to living in this brand new apartment building.

– Build of the apartment isn’t the best quality; walls are very very very thin, there’s some paint splatters on the floors. What management can fix they generally can and will (i.e. a door that didn’t close properly). They have been okay at getting contractors out to look at appliances and furniture, though you do wonder how prevalent certain problems are. For example, my oven, which was brand new, didn’t work and the guy fixing it said he’d done a few ovens already in the apartment and had other appointments in the building that day.
– Management are quite responsive; they’re generally not proactive. They have however been fixing a lot of the teething issues of a new apartment block, including curfews on communal spaces (which were being used entirely inappropriately into the early hours of the morning), cleanliness in shared spaces, parking issues.
– One random and weird thing about the apartment is there’s no way for you to buzz visitors up to your room. Minor, but quite annoying.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

– limited street parking in the area
– no shops/grocery stores within easy walking distance
– cars zooming by can be quite noisy
– bin room is so unhygienic it’s dangerous
– despite being kind of far away from the ‘cool’ part of digbeth, it’s still quite noisy
– hope you like abandoned buildings because they’re all around you

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

the freebies and community events are all going to be held at times that are inconvenient for people who work standard hours outside the home.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Has improved dramatically since moving in.
