About Bromford
Bromford are a housing association with almost 45,000 homes spread across central and South West England. Bromford believe in providing warm, safe and secure homes.
The beauty of the estate is there is a good mix if house designs on here with a mix up of housing association, shared ownership and privately owned homes. People near me take pride in our homes and gardens and the fact the association cut the grass and tidy after them makes it easier to maintain the front of our homes. When we applied for our home it was nice to meet the housing assocations team before we were confirmed to get our home, it ment that we knew someone local from the association.
We have a sainsbury local just over the main roD and co-op on Hanwell fields as well as indin restaurant, subway, chip shop, and charity shop. There is no bus to the estate so short walk to dukes meadow if you want a bus yo town. They play parks are we cared for and thr charente love them. The main road has not been finished yet as they still building the estate. Some people do drive a little fast on the estate but I think it could be delivery drivers. I have very friendly and supportive neighbours that have been there throughout some tough times. There’s plenty of parking on the estate for resident’s and visitors. I live close to Warwick Road but only hear it if I have doors & windows open. I live in a quiet little section iff the main road. The inly problem with that is there are no street lights down our area. The bins on the are emptied regularly so the estate looks clean and tidy. My family have been impressed with the estate to the fact 1 daughter brought a house here just over a year ago and a 2nd is just waiting for hers to be built.
No lighting down our area as coming home in the dark can be a little scary. I feel extremely lucky to have made some good friends on the estate
The development is nicely spaced out with plenty of greenery and is only a short walk from the town.
The houses are attractive and well presented and the streets laid out in a way that makes it more appealing than most new developments. The building style is still in keeping with the rest of the town.
The town has everything needed for a small town, however with all the new developments the town is starting to feel the strain.
I wasn’t aware that Bromford worked closely with other local services which was good to know.
Design is good and spacious. The outside could be better with somewhere to sit in the evening in the summer and less grass so it’s not muddy in the winter. Bin shed is big inside but has no lights which would be helpful as most of us work shifts so aren’t always able to take bins out in the day light.
Car park would be better with more spaces as some of us have 2 cars and only one space.
Don’t drive or have one car
The shared spaces are well looked after by gardeners, always tidy and neat. I feel that there is not enough allocated parking so street parking is common. The house frontages are quite close to pavements, so this could put some people off on a busier street.
A great location overall. Moreton in marsh has a wide range of shops from grocery’s to hardware and plenty of coffee shops.
The fronts of the houses are close to the pavement so make sure you know how many passers buy you have.
The developer were quick to arrange for any snagging to be looked at.
