About Ashberry Homes
Ashberry Homes is a developer of new homes built to exceptional standards in carefully chosen locations; a developer that places individuality and excellence at the heart of house-building.
This development offers good design and choice of modern houses with most of the facilities. The houses built are generally good quality with excellent insulation and access to fast internet. However, few areas lack footpaths, house gardens are relatively small and patchy management of the development offered through third party with relatively high yearly service charges to the owners even though houses are freehold, have been few letdowns. Overall, we have had positive experience buying our house here.
This area is easily accessible with train station (with plenty of parking), local shops, few pubs and town centre within walking distance. Even though it is close to the airport and (narrow) roads can busy during rush hours, the area is generally quiet with reliable bin collection and easy access to green open areas, Southend beach, sea life aquarium, Adventure island and theatres.
Yearly service charge for this development and no windows in bathrooms
Cosy well built house with access to sunlight most of the day
Houses are a bit on the small side, we bought a 3 bed and the 3rd bedroom barely can hold a single bed and drawers. Bedroom one can barely fit a king-size tv bed. If u want big bedrooms don’t go for stoke wood.
Apart from the size the house is okay.
Lovely location and close to shops etc bus routes are close by and also pubs and pahramcy and posto office.
I wish I had a viewing before buying as the house is alot smaller than anticipated.
Best feature is my on suite. Powerful shower……
I can say that if it wasn’t for the excellent first impression and continued customer service that Ashberry Homes have provided, then I wouldn’t have purchased this property. We have been truly impressed by the support that we have been provided and as such we would recommend Ashberry Homes to any prospective buyer.
With the development in its early stages, there is no local shops within walking distance. There are however various parks for the children in which to play. The transport links to the A421 and M1 are really good and mean less time is spend travelling to and from work.
There is plenty of parking with allocated spaces and visitor bays outside the property. There is limited traffic noise however due to the build of the houses, they are more susceptible to noise meaning we regularly hear what is going on outside the property.
It is important to attend the house to gain a feel for each rooms size. The dining room is small and after careful consideration, we have downgraded the size of our table/ chairs.
The attention to detail provided in each room, as per the extras we asked for is something that certainly makes our home that much special. Integrated appliances in the kitchen ensure everything is hidden away whilst each room on the first and second floor is spacious so that we as a family can grow and have fun.
We need some better playgrounds for the children, but otherwise the houses look nice and the streets are wide enough. It still becomes a problem though when people park their cars on the pathways. The duck pond is quite a nice touch and attractive for the children.
We are quite a way from the main road which is nice because it is very quiet but the playgrounds are not very nice for the children, I think some slides and swings would be nice.
I wish we would have known there were plans to build a school right behind our house.
The kitchen is nice and the walls are sound proof.
