About Allison Homes
Allison Homes is a housebuilding company committed to providing high quality, traditional homes. Allison Homes build new home sites in carefully-chosen locations that integrate with existing local communities.
The house is beautiful in appearance, however the negatives in design are the poor soundproofing, in that you can hear next door talking in through our kitchen, hallway and bedroom near stairs as well as them walking around and shutting doors and loud music if they play it thudding through walls and echos through every room. Also where the radiators are place are inconvenient to place furniture e.g. radiator in the plan was meant to be placed under window in living room but is instead against the wall so you can’t place a sofa there, also the wall coming out adjacent to the hallway affects placing a sofa there too. Would be better if distribution board was placed in hallway. Also we are unhappy with the sound of someone using the toilet/flushing upstairs is very loud through the living room. With building management, the staff have been friendly and helpful but certain things we raised to 9 months for someone to look at them and that was after we raised it again repeatedly, also still waiting on what to do about the sound issues.
Nice places to visit nearby, safe area, Morrissons very close, Would be better to have a closer bus service.
That the sound proofing would be so bad it will be hard for us to relax or get any work done with music blaring loudly that echos through every room and no privacy if you can hear speaking through kitchen wall etc
The fitted kitchen is really great, we like the large fridge and built in dishwasher with plenty of cupboard spaces.
Very poor example of construction and management of customer care by Alison Homes in Boston.
I own this property in Dec 2019 and today in April 2022, handles of doors are not working properly, electricity sockets are loose and some of them are stopped working, main door frame is loose and moving during open and closing of door, vinyl behind the kitchen sink cam out almost in a year after bought property and customer care took more than a year to handle this and finally push blame on us using more water cause vinyl came out. At the time of boiler service British gas engineer notified that wiring connection of boiler is not correct and it’s never switching off and after talked to customer care they again put blame on us saying service not done on time, till now I am thinking what is a relation between service and faulty wiring. Hight of the poor construction is galas in shower room broken in pieces and fall down in shower room when no one was inside. Just imagine if it’s happen during if any of my family member in shower room, anyone of us may loos a life.
If you call customer care, they are well trained to behave rudely and very well trained for passing blames on customers.
Other than this Gates on main entrance is fixed since past almost 6 months and never start working, garden for kids are not ready. No traffic signs in side the complex.
Be careful before you buy homes from Allison homes Boston.
Location of property is good because of work place is walking distance.
No near by shop around the property and the nearest one is either near John Adams R/A or Dobbies on winfleet road.
Burton house and The meal is the closest Pub/Restaurant near property.
Though it’s a good reputed developer.
With Allison home no further, will never recommend anyone to buy a house with this developer
The design of the downstairs is very spacious but the bedrooms upstairs are quite small, especially the Master Bedroom. I would rather have had a small landing and have a bigger master bedroom.
Another thing I dont like about the design is that the downstairs toilet leads straight into the kitchen. Not really ideal in my opinion.
The garden is also very small, for a detached house.
Close to local amenities and town centre. Living in my street is very noisy at the present due to ongoing construction, hopefully it will be finished soon.
*Size of Bedrooms too small and Garden too small
* There is also no playground area for kids, have to walk to the nearest park
Spacious living room and kitchen. I particularly love the bay window in the living room, it brings so much light into the room
I am not sure whether it is part of the plan to create another green space but it would be good for the many children that play outside each day.
It would be good if they can start improving the quality of the streets and sidewalks. I understand they probably want to wait for construction to finish but the road is in a terrible condition. The side walks as you drive into the development is also terrible and can do with some improvement. There are obviously also people that house share so it is annoying having to drive out of the estate with all the extra vehicles parked on the side of the road or on the side walk.
It’s still very noisy due to all of the construction vehicles. Area is good with shops nearby. They could definitely add another green space.
I find the quality of the house in general not very positive. We have a lot of tiny things that need to be repaired. The can use a little higher quality things in the house – bathtub, shower, paint. Some bits look cheaply done – skirting boards are going yellow and we have not even been in the house for a year. Even though we take good care of our property it just looks really warn after just 10 months on the house and that is because of the low quality of materials they use to build it.
We love the size of our kitchen/dining room. We also enjoy our back garden.
