There is a constant noise/ruckus coming from Dreams apartments guests

Outside the apartment is a combination of nightmares. There is a constant noise/ruckus coming from Dreams apartments guests as well as a police presence almost every weekend. There are stolen packages/parcels all the time & doesn’t seem to be any intervention from anyone responsible. Adelphi Wharf 2 & 3 are affected the worst & this has been an ongoing issue since we moved in to the property.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Local amenities close by. Transport links are further away but has lots of parking facilities. Living space is good & building design is also great, inside the apartment we can’t complain.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

We wish we had known about Dreams apartments and the nuisance it causes to residents in the area. They appear to be breaching their ‘long-term stay only’ contract and creating problems for tenants & owners in the building

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

We have had responses for a few minor issues such as the toilet flushing mechanism and under kitchen storage but were told we’d have to fix the washing machine ourselves even though it was leaking when we initially moved in.

Great place & great location!

Adelphi wharf is a great place to live hands down . The value for what you get compared to the city centre is unbeatable. It’s located on a quiet road with very minimal traffic and with the buildings rear view overlooking the river it makes a great looking from the apartments inside . Very safe and secure and property management have never let any issues go long without fixing them.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Good- Has parking and is not a far walk from both Victoria station & Piccadilly. Conveniently located next to a shop and a 5 min walk to sainsburys & co-op
Bad- the building does not allow pets so can be frustrating to some tenants that would like to have a dog or a cat

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I was recommended 4th utility as a wifi provider when I moved in from the estate agents and it’s been horrible I wish I would of gone with sky.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yes and the issues were fixed within 48hrs so really can’t fault at all.

The main door never locks, we have cockroaches, Kids running around banging on residents doors. Security is useless. Building management never answer, Sewage coming in through the toilets, homeless peoples invading the halls the list is endless. Oh and not to mention that the building is half built, no carpets on the stairs, lift always breaks. But the view is nice

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Positives: Nisa local staff are lovely, very close to Manchester centre
Negatives: Anti social behaviour, cockroaches, no parking, bins overflow

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The community of people who live there are lovely but we all struggle with the management of the building

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

They dont, they always make us pay for the issues they cant solve

Not the best whatsover, feels unsafe

The design of the building is alright. The facilities are non-existant, apparently a gym was promised but never came. Things take ages to be fixed, and if the fire alarm goes off at all, the doors will be left open for days on end. There is a lot of work that needs to be done.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

The local shops are alright. The area feels dangerous though. There are always people breaking in and damaging cars. Some people get loud knocks on their door. There was clearly a budget cuts as the building is filthy too.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

How unsafe the area is and how easy it is for intruders to get in.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

They take ages to respond, if they try and fix something, it’s uncertain if what they will do will actually help.
