The property is all inclusive with bills but with recent rent increase has decreased in value for money. The flats are finished to high standards but maintenance for finishings is limited. My unit had some water damage to the floor which has not been repaired. However, they are great with repainting, plumbing, electricals etc (the essentials). Security is ok although some packages have been stolen before. Carpark is not secure as a couple cars have been broken into recently.
Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:
The area is amazing. Very close to supermarkets (3 min for M&S, 5 min for Waitrose, 10 min for Tesco), Moor Market (10 min), West St (15 min) and Margate (20 min). Lots of amazing restaurants and bars nearby.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
Although the deluxe studios all cost the same, the corner units and ones on the same side as the 1 bedroom apartments are larger. In Porterbrook North, try to sign for a south facing flat.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Like above they have been great with maintenance. I understand why they may not have repaired the water damage to the floor. They had also let the flat that I viewed and signed for and gave me a smaller unit with a north facing window (I signed for a south facing, larger flat).
