Staying at The James has been an amazing experience! The location is perfect, close to everything in the city. The building is filled with fantastic amenities, and the onsite maintenance team is always available and helpful. The house itself is spacious and extremely comfortable. I highly recommend The James for a wonderful stay!The management at The James is incredibly flexible and always ready to help.

I could write all day about the fantastic experience I have had at The James so Far. After being let down by another building, The James came to my rescue and I couldn’t imagine living anywhere else now. I live in the Medium Studio, which is gorgeously designed, perfect for my requirements and big enough for when my partner or friends occasionally stay over! My studio flat feels so luxurious, which matches the rest of the interior of the building including reception and the hallways. The location is ideal, with shops/city living to the right of the building and the waterfront to the left! Jenny and Ellie (Manager/Concierge) have made me feel so welcome since I moved in and are accommodating to every one of my needs.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

So close to bars/restaurants/shops and only a 15 minute walk to local train stations! The only downside to my studio in particular is the noise generated by the bins being emptied in the morning from the Wetherspoons below the building, although I have rearranged my flat meaning the bed is now at the window so I can’t complain! It is only once a week so is not an issue really. No issues at all however with traffic or any antisocial behaviour outside or around the building.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I would have known I was able to move around furniture etc. I think a lot of people may see the layout of the studio’s and feel like they have a bedroom, kitchen, bathroom and just an office which may put people off renting here. I have re-arranged my medium studio to make a gorgeous living space area!

The staff are very communicative, emails with queries are responded too usually within the same day.

It is immediately apparent upon entering The James that careful attention has been given to the overall feel of the building. Soft, natural tones accented by the deep brand green nurture a sense of calm and quality. The management is excellent and the building is well maintained and staff are approachable and friendly. Star of the show is Ellie Cheetham, who hosted my initial viewing, and has been on hand since to handle any queries I might have. If you’re looking for somewhere to call home in Liverpool, you’ve found it.

Money was unspared in design – elegant and well thought through – a great place to work from home or study for university.
The facilities are breathtaking – Lounge, personal trainers (gym), and weekly events keep you entertained and socialising (when you feel like it)!
Management is flawless – The team are wonderfully welcoming, and problem rectification is instant. I have yet to see one bit of dirt! The building is immaculately clean.
