Since moving in the staff have been nothing short of superb, they resolve all issues quickly and efficiently and there always so welcoming and friendly when you come into the building, especially Jennifer and Ellie.

Ultimately I could write a lot of positive feedback for this building as it has really become my home when I had only intended to stay for 4 months originally, but now I’m nearing a year of stay! My friend even moved in as well based on my recommendation I rate here that highly.

Sitting between the Albert docks and the city center the building offers me extremely quick access to the vibrant social scene as well fantastic transport links essential to my work.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Take the time to explore the city, I made the mistake of starting a job the moment I arrived and didn’t realise just how much Liverpool has to offer until much later than I should of. Fantastic city with fantastic people.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

After a year of living in the building the tv provided by the building ceased to work, I emailed Ellie at the front desk on my way to work, she replied within the hour and kindly had a replacement fitted by the time I was home.

It’s incredibly convenient as it is close to all key locations like bars, cafes, grocery stores, gyms, and hospitals. Additionally, there is a bus stop and train station just a few meters away, making commuting a breeze.

I wish I would have known how sustainable and safe the house is with modern amenities

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The management at The James is incredibly flexible and always ready to help. It’s reassuring to know that any concerns or requests are promptly addressed, making living here a truly delightful experience.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

So close to bars/restaurants/shops and only a 15 minute walk to local train stations! The only downside to my studio in particular is the noise generated by the bins being emptied in the morning from the Wetherspoons below the building, although I have rearranged my flat meaning the bed is now at the window so I can’t complain! It is only once a week so is not an issue really. No issues at all however with traffic or any antisocial behaviour outside or around the building.

I wish I would have known I was able to move around furniture etc. I think a lot of people may see the layout of the studio’s and feel like they have a bedroom, kitchen, bathroom and just an office which may put people off renting here. I have re-arranged my medium studio to make a gorgeous living space area!

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The staff are very communicative, emails with queries are responded too usually within the same day.

It’s very central, with easy access to plenty of bars, restaurants, pubs, clubs and shops. For anything further afield, the train station is just across the street. A very nice place to live.

There’s nothing I can add. All of my expectations have been met.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Regular checks are carried out. Recently, they spotted an issue with the shower seal, so minor that I had not even noticed it. They really are on top of things.
