Overall positive experience with developer, but the site layout could have been better designed

The houses are well designed inside and out, however i feel that the street and plot planning and design lets the development down a bit. There is a large electricity pylon running alongside the house, and I wonder if the houses closest to it could have been better designed to minimise the impact of it. I also notice that the affordable homes are positioned the closest to the pylon. The affordable homes do not have solar panels, unlike the private homes. The large windows are a feature, but often are directly facing into other neighbours large windows.
Even though I have only lived here a short time, the site management have been clear and identified about the development, such as road closures. They have kept the site safe and tidy, other than raised ironworks not suitably fenced off or signposted, which created driving safety risks.
The welcome gifts of pub voucher and champagne were a lovely touch.
Overall a very positive experience.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Local area is beautiful. Local amenities are sufficient and proportional to the size of the village. Lovely pub nearby. Good Local play park, and the church is very friendly.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

There is a power transmission pylon next to the house. In the summer when I viewed, it was dry so there was no noise from the pylon. However in wet conditions it is quite noisy.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Very friendly and responsive site managers – very pleased

Fantastic development, great village, stunning location

Fantastic development. I searched for a long time to find a shared ownership property that gave me everything I wanted, and looked nice. Well this development does that and more! The green open spaces, planted trees and design of the properties make this development stand out. The builders who are still on site at the moment have all be fantastic and friendly as well. All willing to help me if I needed anything at all.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Great local shop, post office and pub in the village. All with very friendly and welcoming staff. Such a picturesque, quiet and rural setting here that it really feels relaxing living here. Only downside is the noise of the pylons which, when raining, does become particularly loud. But on a fair weather day are barely noticeable.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The noise of the pylons during different weather. Sometimes can barely notice the noise, but at other times it is quite loud. But only when outside.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Stonewood have been fantastic, anything I have raised they have looked into straightaway. Any issues I’ve had the builders on site have been willing to come and help me.

Very happy 1st time buyer.

The design of the house is flawless! The developers have really taken into account everything especially having a laundry room and a large down stairs bathroom. We have many visits from the site manager who ensured us of everything that was going on around including the road resurfacing.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Lovely safe and secure location. No anti- social behaviour! Lovely neighbourhood and friendly people that invited us in. No negative comments about the housing, development or location. Nice little shop and pub.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Wish we knew about the lack of signal on all phone providers and that only a small handful of WiFi providers reach this area.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yes, I have raised a few defects with the property and they had responded straight away with a small time wait of when they can come and fix things.

The property is very unique, the high ceilings add an extra touch

The property is very unique, the high ceilings add an extra touch. The design, for the most part, is well thought out. Finishes are done to a high standard. Storage in the kitchen is lacking slightly, however a few extra shelves solves that. The building management team have got better at communicating and are approachable and friendly.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

There is a small shop/post office and a pub in the village. Residents also have the benefit of a free allotment space in the village. Our home is situated in a quiet spot that has no passing traffic, no issues with noise. There are some visitor parking spots available

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Wish we had a clearer plan for the snagging process

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

They have been good, however some times very sporadic and jobs are not always done in a sensible order.
