About Springfield
Springfield properties build affordable homes across Scotland. Springfield moved into house building in the early 1990s, and today build 900 new homes a year.
Sales process was very straightforward and friendly staff. Easy to make design choices and lots to see in the show homes. The homes are well-built with good communication at the beginning to resolve any issues. Design is clean, with plenty of green areas. Local shop is well-stocked and very friendly.
Convenient location, but you would need to own a car due to a lack of safe walking routes and public transport. The residents group are putting in a lot of effort with the city council to get this resolved.
Very quiet on the estate, even with lots of kids and increasing traffic.
Convenient location: next to main links to Perth and Aberdeen, but also near parks, woods and countryside.
Dykes of Gray is a lovely semi-rural development less than 10mins by car into the centre of Dundee. It is very much a community with neighbours supporting one another through the development facebook group. Thought about moving to be closer to work but decided against it as what I have here is perfect.
Very well stocked Spar which is so handy, hotel less than 10mins walk which has bar and good quality food. Lots of open spaces, 3 parks for kids plus football pitch. Now that bus service is in place links to town are even easier

Beautifully high quality homes, with ability to customise to your own taste
Design is perfect, spacious living, management of the house after care team is perfect. Location is in a quite area. Perfect for families. Just a work one point the upstairs ensuite the door is very close to the sink. A very easy and hassle free process.
Love how quite the area is

Space, design, ability to choose what kitchen design and paint you have.
The area is mixed with different house types and flats. The gardens are small. It can be quite noisy and busy with cars so not always safe for kids to go out and play. Some people have had issues with subsidence in the development. The houses are crammed in as close as possible to the next.
Knockomie Braes is quite a busy area with all the new houses. There aren’t much parking spaces with each house so the streets get busy with parked cars.
I wish I’d listened to the people saying that the company don’t care about their customers or the quality of the homes and that they just want as much money as they can get. They don’t even give you carpets.
There aren’t any. It’s been the worst experience we’ve had in buying a home.
