Spenhill Reviews

“New development in Streatham, great location, next to train station which goes to the City, etc. Next to 24 hours Tesco. Light modern apartments with wooden floors, glass balconies. 24 hour concierge/ security. Rooftop garden. Streatham is great area to live with Marks and Spencer’s, high street shops delis and great pubs.” – SarahH, verified resident at Derry Court

Nice but parking is very bad; maybe too bad

Parking is a huge dislike. Paid for 1 years parking but only been able to park a few times, so have to drive around or risk a ticket in tescos. Plus local authority restricted parking on some roads.
Parking situation really bad tbh.

Clean. Secure. Mainstay (company) seem to be doing a good job with maintenance.

Rooms in the flat are not pokey at all, quite spacious, unlike most new builds.

The building management always respond quite quickly.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

I like the area for the small independent shops and cafes etc. If you drive you’re close to the big retail parks and supermarkets.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Should have made clear the difficulty with parking. Could have been a deal breaker.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

They react quite quickly.

Regular letters about enforcing rules on balconies.

New build

I moved here as i thought the area would be up and coming, however, not much has happened yet and I wish there were more bars and restaurants around. The bin outside the door is annoying and gets smelly in the heat.

I would like more bars and restaurant develop itself no green space.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

I dislike that there are warehouses everywhere and that its so secluded.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I didn’t expect it to be so noise due to a lot of trucks passing by.

Are there any facilities you would like added, or that you have but do not use:

More bars and restaueant develop itself no green space

Good for sharers

It’s a nice and modern apartment, really good for sharing as we both have our bathrooms (2 bed/2 bath). There isn’t any air con and it can get very hot.
We have a lot of complaints from balcony below, the balcony has gaps in floor boards which is a poor design as no matter what stuff is going to fall through cracks.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

The area is safe and there are a bunch of stations near by.
Lots of connections, only takes me 20 mins to get to work.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Fixed gas anount, we may not use it but it’s a fixed amount which is kinda of annoying.
Hot water often runs out.

Realy nice like a small quaint town

Overall, I have had a good experience with the property, however, it is a new build so there are some issues but they have been good at responding to problems. The area is relatively safe and the commute to work is really short and the transport links area excellent particularly with Walthamstow as there are places to hang out, drink and eat.

We chose the development because of the price range, the fact it was a new build.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Dislike traffic tesco commute is good frequency of train isnt that great

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Issues with stealing cars

Why did you choose this development:

We chose the development because of the price range, the fact it was a new build.
