About Sheen Lane Developments
Sheen Lane Developments is a development company based in Richmond. Sheen Lane have delivered over 2000 residential units across 36 schemes in London and the South East.
The lift tends to break sometimes so that would annoying if you were moving in or live on the top floors. Maybe a sitting area with a smoking bin would be nice and the doors to have peep holes. Management is good, never had to call maintenance. The property is very hot though so in summer a fan is needed the walls I think are just very thick and often outside would be cooler than in your flat. I like how the interior of the flat is very modern and simple. They could have made all windows open as only 1/3 open and to show us how to use the built in speaker.
Easy access to the northern line within 7 minutes of walking. If catching a bus though there are current road works going on and do the corner coming off Spring Villa is always jammed packed with traffic. Noise minimal, you can hear when people are in the hallway but not inside rooms. There’s been a recent amount of noise from the window side which faces the front of the building which can be very inappropriate if you have children. I wouldn’t know about parking but there is a gated area for that and a very close convenience store plus a storage store within 3 minutes.
I wish I knew how hot it was going to be within the flat but that just means it’s really good insulated walls. I still don’t know how to use the built in speaker but I’ve not needed that.
Yeah I have had a issue with payment and they have got back to me in detail with everything I need to know. They also have out of hours mobile too.
The building has been refurbished to very high standards with good quality materials and white goods however due to the large number of people living in this development (around 170 flats), the building is always dirty. A lot of the people that live here are not considerated and make no effort to keep it clean and presentable. Rubbish everywhere and outside the building too, not to mention the amount of dog poo you find every morning when you step out of the building. With so many units/people in each floor, it gets very noisy as well as many don’t have any respect for their neighbours playing loud music until late and causing disturbances that in many cases need to be dealt with by the police.
The area feels quite unsafe with a high crime rate. Dirty streets with loads of rubbish. Plenty of shops and food choices although mayority are fast food and chicken shops which tend to bring the wrong crowds. Traffic is a really big deal with loads of road works going on.
Do some research on the area before moving in as it is very unsafe and with high crime rates. If I knew how bad it would have been to live in a building with so many residents and how unconsiderate they are I would have not moved in.
They replied fast at least in my case but they did nothing when I needed help with problematic neighbours that were loud and caused disturbances.
The flat itself is very modern with top range amenities (oven, washing machine, hob, dishwasher).
As the building has had more tenants move in, it has got noisier, but this is rarely a problem and the flat is mostly sound proof, unless windows are open.
On site staff are very nice however I haven’t had great communication with the managing team via email- I have been trying to get a bathroom light fixed since the day I moved in over a year ago, without success.
Great location, everything needed is nearby; shops, supermarkets, train and bus station, gym etc. Unfortunately there have been lots of roadworks outside the property the past 8 months, meaning traffic can be an issue, but I can’t say the noise is ever a problem from my flat.
Parking and bins both easy and accessible.
Pigeons are very noisy from the early hours directly outside my flat!
No visitor parking.
On site staff are friendly and helpful, however the building management have unfortunately not been the best. I have been trying to get my bathroom light fixed since the day I moved in and despite much communication and being told it would be sorted, it has not and I have now given up without success.
The information provided was wrong and there is no clear communication regarding move in. Most importantly, crucial issues are being ignored by BRNS considering basic health and safety. There are angry pitbuls that walk free around the corridors and the car park. The building stinks of weed and there seems to be a prevailing trend of vast inconsideration, proudly represented by a questionable gentleman who has constructed a camp in the middle of the car park and likes to play loud Asian folklore songs at 0400am. The bin yard is often mistaken for a toilet for both human and pets. To add to all this, the lift is always out of service.
The flats are brand new and enjoyable. I love the big windows that open fully. However, both the management company BRNS and the letting agents HomeMade are complete and utter cowboys. Homemade had no clue about the building and the furniture package. Crucial issues are being ignored considering basic health and safety. Shower pressure. The fact that you move in a building where unleashed pitbuls run free and a crazy guy plays music on a wireless speaker day and night around the corridors and the car park and also uses the bin yard as a toilet.
In a word – barely. Complete ignorance and lack of ownership.
