A nice place to live

I am very happy about this development. The facade has a classic appeal using a mix of colours, big windows and a nice penthouse integrated with the roof.
Inside, the look is modern and smart with automated lights on the halls and entry codes in the exterior doors to not have to use your keys until you get to your own door.
Regarding my own apartment, I had the chance to choose the flooring and was amazed by the quality of the fitting, it was a very neat job. Rooms are spacious (contrary to other new developments in Maidenhead) and the quality of materials and appliances is good (all Zanussi in the kitchen).

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

We are lucky on this development to have a nice pub (The Lord Grenfell) just on the other side of the road. Other amenities such as Waitrose, Lidl, Homebase are just a bit more than 5 min walking distance, the same with the town centre. The only downside of the location is the road in front of the development (Oldfield road) that sometimes gets busy. Nevertheless, you get use to the noise very quick.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

There’s already a fibre optic installation by open reach. You just need to get a contract with an internet provider (BT, Sky…) and connect the router to the ethernet socket in the living room.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

I had an issue with the underfloor heating and they were prompt to come and fix it.

Good Quality Construction and Best Location

Building and Construction – Very Good
Property management is Poor
No Major problems when we moved in. Property prices are premium because of the accessibility to grammer schools and tube station. Watford Junction is little far from this place. Underground Watford station connection with the Watford Junction is essential. This was unfortunately not approved. Rembrandt House is a nuisance as always and not enough parking spaces available for the property. Which is a shame.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

This is best location for residential and with grammer schools near by it cannot get any better.
Parking is a BIG problem and security is a concern.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Nothing

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Mostly delayed response. Unsatisfactory. Phone calls were not answered as always and response take many days to attend and resolve any problems. My property was not fully wired before it was handed over. None of the telephone sockets work in my house.

The sales team were always very helpful and friendly

Design, spec and finish is really and high and among the best I saw when looking at different options before buying.
The sales team were always very helpful and friendly
Flats have nice outdoor space / balconies
There aren’t any additional facilities in the development such as concierge or gym
Building management company so far has been responsive and helpful

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Epsom is a great area for restaurants and cafes, and only a 10 minute walk from the development. There are some pubs and bars also but not a lot of options in the way of nightlife.
Great transport links with epsom train station which goes direct to a number of London terminals, and there are other stations relatively near as well. East street can sometimes be noisy with cars and sirens, but they recently resurfaced the road which had been a big improvement. We have private parking which is a big plus, bin collection is weekly and haven’t had any problems with anti social behaviour.
Overall a great development and nice place to live

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Traffic noise on east street at morning commute times was quite loud. Though the road resurfacing helped a lot with this. It would not have stopped me purchasing

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

No problems as such but we get regular clear communication around management activities for the development

Good looking homes, good location

The development is good looking and has robust modern features- under floor heating, double glazed windows. It came with all white goods like the oven, hob, fridge and washing machine attached. Building management is just a phone call away. They are always there to sort any snagging issues.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

I live in Amber Place Apartments and the location is beautiful. Thames is a mere five minute walk and there is greenery and quiet all around. It is well connected to London and Paddington is a mere 20 min train ride away. Its a 15 minute walk from the high street and you have many grocery stores nearby for everyday needs.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Maidenhead is so much friendlier than London!

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The building management send a person within 2 working days to sort a small issue in the bathroom. Anything we ask is sorted efficiently and in time.
