DO NOT BUY

DO not buy from this developer. poor quality (such as thin thin walls and cheap installments) from the get go with numerous issues within the apartment and apartment building. in fairness, they do fix the problems within the first 2 years but after the issues continue and you’re on your own. As an example, we still have a broken front door to our apartment block only 3 years after being installed but no one is helping.

they also use poor management companies to look after your building which charge alot a year and don’t provide much, windows arent the cleanest.

the biggest concern is that i was mis-sold their services and products, when i bought my flat they informed me that on the premise that there would be visitor spaces that were unallocated and for communal space (no one could buy) and now they have changed this and you are not allowed visitors unless you pay for an allocated visitor spaces. They are now claiming this never was never the sold to us even though multiple people were told the same and multiple eye witnesses,

the complaint has been raised and will update this review based on the outcome but based on my overall experience from shanly, i would not recommend using them.

A breath of fresh air for Maidenhead

Overall a really lovely place to live in. As the area develops, it will hopefully get more lively, but the cafes and restaurants around have already made a massive difference. The building is well kept and the interior design of the common areas is very good. No management company yet to take care of the maintenance of the building and similar, but Shanly are doing a good job at handling those issues as they arise for now. Neighbours are mostly great and respect quiet hours.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Lovely cafes, restaurants and loads of green spaces around

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

We haven’t been living in for that long so can’t make any comments on this.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

We had some problems with our windows and they were fixed within a reasonable timeline.

Great one bed apartment

The design of our apartment is great. It is very spacious and has everything we need for a one bed apartment. It is easy to keep clean and is very bright inside due to the colours chosen for the design. The communal areas are cleaned weekly. We have a security gate to get into the car park which is open during the day but locked at night which makes us feel safe.

The property doesn’t really have a communal area which will be a shame during the summer, however there is a park just a five minute walk away so I am sure we will make use of that. I know some properties have other facilities such as gyms which we do not have, however there are gyms nearby so not a dealbreaker.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

The property is a short walk from the town centre and also has a local shop across the road as well as a pub. Also it is about a 15 minute walk to the train station. The area is very safe and we never have any trouble. Bins are collected regularly and we have plenty of parking in our car park and if needed there are also a few bay spaces on the road. It is situated on a main road so during the day we can hear the traffic however it is not that loud due to the way the apartment has been built and you get used to it. We also have a train line behind us which most of the time we don’t really notice but you get the odd train that is particularly loud.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

We were unsure how to use the heating when we first moved in. It isn’t the easiest to use and did have a few issues at the beginning so would be good to be shown how to use that properly on move in.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

We had a few issues when we first moved in which were solved very quickly and we were kept up to date.
