The design of the apartments is great, there is definitely more storage on offer than most other developments in and around the city centre, which was a big selling point for me.
The area around Middlewood Locks is also quite unique for the city centre location, with plenty of grass and benches around.
Security are helpful and responsive, but I have heard people say property management can be quite delayed and not as proactive as people would like.
Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:
Middlewood Locks is a great place for socialising, with a local bar where there are often events held, a coffee shop and a rotating ‘restaurant’ each week.
The location is great, however there is a real lack of parking availability in Salford, so unless you’re prepared to pay a chunk out of your salary for parking, it’s probably best to not move here if you’re commuting.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
Parking availability – worth looking at available spaces before moving.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
An issue I raised with my landlord (cracked balcony glass) when I moved in was addressed some time later my building management, even though I wasn’t expecting it to.
