Nice site, layout could be improved

As above the design is flawed by having no where for any visitors to park as the roads are so thin.
Some houses look crammed together and a slightly better layout could’ve been used but I guess more houses = more profit.
In other areas the layout works well..

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

There is a large supermarket only a matter of minutes away which is great.
Not many restaurants nearby.
Parking for any visitors is a nightmare as the streets are all just over the minimum width allowed.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

the turf laid is of poor workmanship
and the lads doing the job have admitted they have unrealistic schedules hence the shoddy work
Do this privately after moving in

What is the best feature of your home:

Internal layout is great and works well for how we live

Attractive village life

Attractive houses which have been well laid out across the development. Some natural features e.g. large pond have been left but hopefully once the buildings have been completed, these will be appropriately landscaped and maintained. Site managers contactable whilst on site and generally respond well when issues arise.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Great Eccleston is a quiet yet very friendly place to live. The village centre has a range of independent shops including a bakery, butchers, veg, post office and hardware store. There is a small yet well stocked convenience store as well for when you don’t want to trek to the nearest supermarket (approx 15 mins away). Farmer’s Arms is an excellent pub which has recently reopened and is the heart of the village.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

– builders supply an immersion heater rather than combo boiler
– outside of house + cars become very dirty quickly whilst builders on site
– other developers will be coming to the area

What is the best feature of your home:

Family room which combines the kitchen, eating area and snug.

Good but few small issues

Nice development with a variety of houses and aesthetics. We like our location as we’re not overlooked or too close to neighboring properties. However, fence height at rear garden is inconsistent. Don’t like the cotoneaster shrubs at front. Road and path needs surfacing. Slow response for snag issues. Otherwise happy with our new home.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Walking distance to shops, town centre and pubs. And close to motorway. Ideal location.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

More info on choices for build, with more time to decide on choices. Such as moving plug sockets, finishing touches in bathroom and kitchen etc.

What is the best feature of your home:

Location and size of front and rear garden. Nice modern finish throughout.

Good neighbourly environment

Good neighbourly environment, a Facebook group to all keep in touch. Very quiet, empty roads, Lots of children, planned events for children and charities. Maintenance efficient, 2 years guarantee, close to the beach, bin day is a Friday morning, everyone helpful

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Lovely area, near to a miller and Carter pub and close connections to the motorway. A few schools close and a tesco express.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

wasn’t much paving in garden

What is the best feature of your home:

Location is great, infront of the fountain and garden gets sun all day
