99% happy. And I actually love living here

The design of the building is nice.
Having lived in an office conversion before, I was dreading living here when I was first offered the flat from SBC.
The last place I was in had the flats absolutely crammed in, some rooms had no natural light (my bedroom being one) and no way to let in natural air, only using air con which was expensive and broke down regularly. I was happy to see that the windows opened here and allowed as much or as little air in as I like. The side I am means I have plenty of natural light through the day, can be a little hot in summer but is great during winter as the flat stays warm during the day when the sun comes through.

Building management have been very helpful with me so far, only needed an extra key fob but once I paid, it was here the following day.

Facilities – as above…. Car parking… My only gripe is permit parking. Not needed at all.
Rest of the facilities are good. Lighting is automatic so no wastage of electric. I don’t use the lifts but they always look like they are working. All doors to the outside if the building are locked and can only be unlocked by our keyfob.

It would be lovely to have an area where we could dry clothes outside, but it’s bit a necessity as each flat has a combi washing machine /dryer.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

For the most part I love living here. The apartments have been built to a good spec.
I would say excellent, but mine was brand new when I moved in and there are a few issues but nothing that a lick of paint or some filler wouldn’t fix.
The courtyard has been lovely during the summer and my direct neighbours are lovely.
Although I don’t have children, it’s nice seeing the varied ages within the building. Youngest u think is about 19 months old right up to very elderly.
The location for me is amazing, again, only downside is the walk to the station. Walk is doable but will be dismal in winter!

The local shops are less than a 200 metre walk, and the leisure centre is next door.

When the windows are closed, the outside noise becomes almost nonexistent, but with the trading estate behind, it can be noisy 24 hours a day with lorries coming and going. But this would be less if you are in a flat in the other side (front not rear or side nearest the car park).

When I first moved in, every flat had a space for one care plus ample visitors parking.
This meant that anyone with 2 cars were able to park close to the building, especially helpful for those who struggle walking distances or those with children.
This month, they have introduced permit parking which to me is just a farce to make money. There is absolutely no need to push people to park across the road then expect them to have to carry kids, shopping etc back to the building rather than allowing them to park within the complex.

Residents are charged for guest parking, but you can only have a guest for 24 hours! When my elderly parents visit, they come for at least 3 days and there’s no way they can walk 200 yards plus from their car to the building.
This really is my only bugbear.
Scrap the permits and I would really recommend living here.

If parking was an issue, I’d understand. But it’s not and never has been.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I’d like to have been told about the noise from the lorries.

Good location, but no pets especially dogs are allowed

Well managed, clean and beautiful courtyard. Building is well managed, the managing team is effective.

The bad thing about this building/ management is that pets aren’t allowed or it seems that only perhaps dogs aren’t allowed as there are a couple of cats owned here. Which is an unfair and unjustified rule.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

The location is a safe gated community, with convenience store nearby. Close location to train station and close to Windsor for a day out

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

That dogs weren’t allowed, and rules of pet ownership seems to bend to only allow specific pets. Which is ridiculous.

There are no motorbike parking spaces even though we were told there would be before moving in.

Each apartment is limited to only one parking space, which is bad management foresight. Most of these apartments are sold to family’s or young couples where there are more than one vehicle. There should at least be a minimum of two parking spaces.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

They have been mostly quick and efficient to reply to our requests. Apart from when you are asking for permission to own a pet and then there will be no responses for weeks unless you chase them constantly.

I think it’s backwards not to allow pets these days especially since there’s a huge rise in pet ownership since COVID. Even more when the new law has been passed in Parliment and put place to protect tenants and pets. It just seems like this law has been completely ignored by the buildings management or is only specific to certain pets as it seem like only dogs aren’t allowed. we have seen many tenants or home owners in the compound with cats and other pets.

Lovely homes

Beautiful development and grounds with fountain, hand sanitizers around the complex and always clean. However there is mould in the hallway of my apartment and a lot of loud works being done from early in the morning and i have small children woken up by this

Great first home

Water feature in communal garden is therapeutic, property management responsive to enquiries, very secure grounds. Generally a peaceful area and pretty quiet all around. You can hear traffic from main road slightly. Pretty warm and well insulated. Carpets in bedroom extremely soft

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Great parking availability, large separate bin area, amazing grounds with gated parking

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Property managers come back to queries within 24 working hours and deliver on resolving issue
