About London Green

London Green is a property developer and investment company established in 1998. It targets sites in emerging locations across the capital, with a multitude of previous residential projects ranging from 20 to 250+ units.

London Green developments

Omega Works is a London Green property on Fish Island, a vibrant new neighbourhood close to lively Hackney Wick and the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. Apartments are open-plan, spacious and light-filled, with mezzanine units on offer.

Great friendly community feel, Mayo the concierge has been here since the day it was built and looks out for everyone – as well as keeping people in line who aren’t behaving in a neighbourly way! Very secure due to gates and 24hr on-site staff, occasionally a bike gets nicked from the car park but we don’t have to worry about the security of our actual flats. Lots of long term residents mean that we tend to know our neighbours and help each other out.” – Kate, verified resident at Omega Works

Beautiful canal view

The flat is quite modern and I got enough space. I also got nice large windows and a beautiful view of the canal.
I like it’s really peaceful here. I cannot even hear the neighbours do it’s great.
I just think the interior design could have been better as some things are oddly placed like switches.
I also wish there was more storage space, especially in the kitchen.
I had some issues when I first moved in but building management was quick at solving them.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

The area is really quiet which is good. There aren’t that many shops around the development but I got a car so that’s not a problem. Traffic is also not too bad. And even if I needed to take a train I’m fairly close to the station so it’s really easy to get everywhere.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I had known about the change of plans for the gates. There should have been fences running along the canal but the design was changed.
I also wished there had been better communication with site managers. The moving in pack could have contained more information and contact numbers.

What is the best feature of your home:

I would say the best feature of my house is the canal view. I like how it’s always a bit different because of the boats that come and go. I can even go out and walk by the canal. It is all very well maintained.

Nice but incomplete

The development is nice. Inside is mostly fine, with good quality materials used for finishing, and the apartment has a homely comfortable feeling. Also my apartment is also very spacious, which adds to the homeliness. Theres also a concierge that picks up everything for us. Promised shuttle to the station is pretty good. One complaint is that the quality of finishing is not up to standard, with a lot of major issues including lights not working, and cracked walls and took a while to get fixed

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

The town centre is nice, but this isn’t ideal for me. Things aren’t as close as the developer advertise with shops gyms and restaurant more further. It’s ok with a car, and bus system is decent however. Theres nothing much here, the only thing that attracted us here is crossrail but even thats not even finished.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

We were promised you can park our two cars in the parking space, however moving in i could only park one, and no parking area around the wider area

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

it took months before they fixed our snag list, big problems including lack of ligting, plugs not working, crwcks on tne walls. it was done eventually, but i feel like the home was sold to us half finished

Great for most potential residents!

There are many positives of living in this establishment! Firstly, the area is very pleasant and quiet which is great for someone like me who loves a quieter scene as opposed to the traditional noise and bustle of London life. What makes this development stand out in particular is it’s close proximity to essential facilities and amenities whilst still occupying a very calm atmosphere. Finally, the area itself has a lot of character which is a welcoming feature!

The downsides of this development however are the substantial amounts of garbage littered around the place as well as the canal being quite dirty and murky. The area is beautiful in general and it’s a shame there isn’t a bigger initiative to keep it clean by the council. The establishment is also quite expensive to live in.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

– The development is close to everything but still has a calm atmosphere.
– The area itself has a lot of character.

Dislikes:
– There is a lot of garbage around the place

– Housing prices are quite expensive

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Having researched the area before coming here, there is nothing I wish I had known before moving in.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

I haven’t raised any personal concerns or issues to the management so I have no current view or opinion of their services.

Lots of problems

I like the flat in general. It is nice and spacious. I like the design with a high ceiling. The soundproof system is also really good and the flat is generally quite warm.
However, we have had quite a lot of problems with flat. Building management is taking a really long time to solve all this. They are not really efficient. You have to chase them and things take too long to get done. The communication as well is quite bad communication with site manager as I feel he doesn’t really understand our complaints.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

I like this area is really peaceful and not too noisy. The canal gives is a really nice setting, and there are a few good pubs by it.
The town center is okay but there are lots of dodgy people, both in Uxbridge and West Drayton.
The area is good for driving, as it is well linked. It is easy to get to the tube and rail station.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I had known about the shuttle bus schedule. We got told it would run once in the morning and once in the evening, or even more times if it was popular, but nothing has been done.

If there is one thing you would change about your flat or property what would it be:

If I could change something I would maybe add an onsite gym as many new developments have one.
