Lovely place to live and work

The development is really special. The way the buildings are designed means most flats get a view of the river (and the views are great) and they are far apart from each other that one feels connected but private. The security inside the building is also good with only residents of a particular floor having access to that floor – so it feels quite cosy. The quality of the build is also good and we do not hear the neighbours except when on the balcony but that is only to be expected and it does not disturb. There is interior parking and we have an enormous private storage area of 17 square metres. There is a concierge service who are very nice and professional.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Greenwich itself is a wonderful place with a nice centre and of course the beautiful park, and we are a short walk – 15 mins – along the river path with no cars to reach it. There all kinds of restaurants and shops are available for different tastes. There are a couple of smaller supermarkets right next door and a larger Waitrose can be reached by bicycle – again without going on a single road.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I had not realised there would be a yearly fee – 200 pounds – to pay for the right to use the car park, even when I bought the car parking space.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The building management responded immediately to some small issues we had when we moved in but since then everything is working. The service charges are quite high though. The garage is usually dirty from all the building work – they are completing the final building now but hopefully this will get better after that.

Lovely riverside location near all the best amen

The River Gardens is a lovely development along the river. I love the location the most. My flat size is much roomier than other similar developments I looked at in the area, which makes me feel it’s better value for money. However, as with all things I think there could be some design/equipment changes that would improve things. I also feel the property management could be better and money could be better spent – again though I feel this is probably a regular thing in many developments of this size.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

The area has so many highlights – the river, park and space is so nice to still be in London. It’s an easy and nice walk into Greenwich centre, which has so many nice cafes, a picturehouse. Then it is a short journey to North Greenwich (walk, cycle or bus) with great transport links and a great new living quarter (cafes, restaurants etc) which is new since i moved and a lovely addition. I feel that generally the area is clean and well looked after. I wouldn’t live anywhere else in London.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I’ve got to be honest since I moved in I think the neighbourhood has got better, which I guess I didn’t expect and I’m pleased by. We have a lovely cafe that rents a space of the riverside of the building, and some small supermarkets, soon a new pub down the road, it’s becoming more like a community which I love.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Fine. We have a residents committee that liaises with building management on behalf of all, so I can’t say I’m too involved. I do believe issues could be fixed more quick & efficiently

Very nice

I love the area and it is very kids friendly and the park nearby is particularly great. It has a cafe with an amazing Argentinian restaurant called Buenos Aires. There is a gym and swimming pool near which is very convenient. I door parking is great and the coop is amazing.
