About Jones Homes
Jones Homes has been operating since 1959, currently building more than 500 homes a year in the UK.
The building/property management has been first class. Particularly the site manager Ben Bowen. Nothing has been too much trouble and he has personally made our move in and snagging really easy to deal with. The design and quality of the house is very good. There are a few small things which could be improved upon but overall very satisfied with the property.
Hade Edge is a very quiet village, other than the wind and occasional animal noise it is a very peaceful area. There is a lovely local pub and a farm food store which has the essentials. The only thing lacking is a convenience store, however that may detract from the charm of the small village.
The area isn’t the easiest to walk if you have a pram (like us). There are tons of walks though and it’s a beautiful area to live.
Yes and resolved quickly and efficiently. No issue has been turned away and always done with a smile.
The estate in general is good, we have been very pleased with the property. I was happy at first with Jones and their aftercare, however as 18 months elapsed and we got closer to the 2 year warranty their communication was very poor, and it became non existent. The garden drainage is awful, but other than that I’m happy. The park is good for children, and the estate layout is good.
Location is good, reasonable distance from the town centre and necessary amenities, the new link road has made this a great spot to live travel wise.
Unsure.
Communication very poor unless about something they can dismiss by email
The design of the development is overall good, as mentioned above the tandem and off-road parking isn’t always ideal. We have had a few issues since moving into our home which have mainly been resolved in a short period of time. It is not always easy to contact the development team.
Tandum parking can be a bit tricky given we both work and have little children so swapping cars isn’t always easy! Not much off road parking for visitors either.
The area is lovely, minimal traffic noise our street is really quiet.
More about behind the scenes work as a lot of our issues came from plumping etc and things that couldn’t be seen on a viewing
Overall really good, our shower wasn’t plumbed correctly which left to a leak in the living room ceiling, this was resolved fairly sharpish. We’ve had a few other issues such as plumping and flooring which have all been resolved however not always easy to contact
The Jones development is an attractive estate of fairly individual well designed homes but that’s about where it ends. The build quality is shocking with over 200 snags still outstanding over 3 years after moving in. Many of these snags are not small in nature. The quality of the finish throughout is terrible including the fixtures, plaster finish and shoddy decorating. The customer service from Jones homes is none existent, given the chance I would never have bought this house as it has and continues to be a living nightmare.
The area has good amenities close by and great links to the major motorway networks. The schools in the area are good.
That’s the build quality of the Jones homes was so poor and that their aftercare/customer service was so poor
With ignorance and lack of any empathy or care. Could not be less interested in resolving ours and our neighbours numerous issues
