As a resident of Soho Wharf, I appreciate the thoughtfully designed development, blending modern aesthetics with functionality. Building management has been efficient, addressing issues promptly and maintaining a well-kept environment. Property management ensures a smooth running of day-to-day affairs, contributing to a sense of community. Overall, Soho Wharf stands out for its appealing design, well-maintained facilities, and effective management, making it a pleasant place to call home.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

As a resident of Soho Wharf in Birmingham, I can share insights into the local area. The range of local shops is convenient, offering a variety of necessities. Restaurants and bars provide diverse dining options, contributing to a vibrant atmosphere. Open spaces are present but could benefit from more green areas for leisure.

Transport links are generally convenient, with accessible bus routes and proximity to train stations. However, occasional traffic congestion can be a challenge. Parking availability on my street is satisfactory, and bin collections are generally reliable. Anti-social behavior is minimal, contributing to a sense of community safety. Traffic noise is present but manageable, considering the urban setting.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I would have liked to known that the water boiler here takes up a lot of energy and I have always ended up in slightly higher electricity bills. Hence, to reduce the electricity bills, we had to adjust the water boiler timings which has resulted in giving very cold water by end of the day during winter.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The building management at Soho Wharf generally responds adequately to raised concerns. While response times are reasonable, there’s room for improvement in communication and follow-up. Some issues could be addressed more efficiently, but overall, the management demonstrates a willingness to tackle problems and ensure resident satisfaction.

Love our new space

It’s new and spacious. Love the ambience. Lots of green space to relax, reading a book. Quiet space for a walk. Clean buildings. Modern looking facilities. Neighbours are generally friendly. There’s a wind tunnel between couple of the blocks. It can get windy.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Love the commute to city centre, can walk or take a bus or a quick cab ride. There’s a huge Tesco, 10 mins away and a Lidl 5 mins away. The access to the canals is really nice for a quick walk.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

We were one of the first people to move in. Only blocks A and B were Co pleated then. I would have liked to check out the other apartments as well but by then they were sold off.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Timely and polite. Once the management team has been made aware of an issue they fix it quite quickly. But often as the issues are roasted via the app, it takes some time to be noticed by the team.

Great Development and place to live

The layout and design from my perspective of where my property is, is great. A convenience store on the development would be great. Property management has been great, I moved into the development on the 1st March, there were a few teething problems but Heimstaden sorted them out effectively.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Soho Wharf development is situated in a great location. Access to main bus routes into the city, two major supermarkets 10 min walk away. Parking availability on the compound is however limited especially for guests. There is a main road and trainline that are situated close by but limited noise from both.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

How hard it would have been to keep and clean the interior white walls clean!

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Used Occupant App to contact Heimstaden to raise issues. Issues tracked, updated and sorted any issues out in a timely manner.

Really great location

The buildings location is great, has direct or easy access to shops, hospital, bus stops. Although it’s next to a road, the rooms are sound proof and you can barely hear any cars on the road. Theres a Central Park space for kids or people to just relax. Communication from the development is great, as they keep you well informed on things happening in the development/neighbourhood.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

It’s at a really good location, directly opposite a hospital, and a bus stop. A 5 minute walk from IDL, and 7 minutes walk from Tesco. Theres a mini park, cat park, seperate bin area.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish there was a gym as part of the services offered, i assumed there’d be one since there are lots of apartment blocks.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Been handled on time and efficiently once contacted.
