A semi detached property

I would say it’s a mixture of good and bad, the garden is poor, to the point it’s pretty much water logged 24/7, with a little bit of dry ground to play, if I could redesign my garden I would! But when the sun is out it’s lovely to see my boy playing out there! the design is brilliant but I would’ve liked a window in the bathroom because of how rubbish the extractor fan is! I have to have a shower with the door open just so it doesn’t feel damp! And my front door is awful, wasn’t fitted properly to begin with and have continuous problems but other than that the house is lovely! I love my little home!

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

The view where I live is absolutely amazing, cannot fault it! The road is wide as well, compared to other housing estates they are narrow, all houses have a drive or a parking space so bonus! Bins get collected every week alternating between black and green! You do get some bad neighbours but you can’t blame the developers for it!

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I had checked all my meters, as some of mine were connected to other properties, and took awhile to get it resolved!

What is the best feature of your home:

I believe the best thing in my home is where it’s located, it’s so quiet and peaceful it’s amazing!

Lovey family friendly community

I think it’s an amazing lovely quiet friendly community
I havnt really had any issues apart from one and it was sorted in good time the guy that came was very nice helpful and friendly
There is lots of open spaces nice plants and trees and the houses are not all squashed in so your not all over looking everyone
I’m not sure if there will be one built but be nice if there was a play park
I am in a flat.
And I think more needs to be done with sound insulation
I expected to hear the other flats but I don’t expect to be able to hear them talking and babys crying as if there in the same room
Or in my flat that is my only thing and the windows seem a little thin I wouldn’t say they were double glazing even tho they look like it. And I have bay windows and when I rains the noise I unbearable it sounds like rocks falling on a tin roof it either needs more guttering or the material used for the roof needs changing But it other then that I’m loving living here

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Been here a just over a year
I would say it’s very quiet and friendly and grass areas and things are always kept tidy.
Local farms shops in walking distance as well as the oter in restaurant
Close access to main roads to a30 supermarkets are all within walking distance.
Everyone is very friendly and haven’t had any issues with anyone

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

How there is no sound proofing in the flats
You can hear absolutely everything
Talking laughing shouting baby’s crying toilet flushing loud
It’s as if there in the same room

What is the best feature of your home:

I would say the rpom sizes are great plenty of storage and lots of light from the big windows

Bee Meadow welcome you

Bee Meadow is a very pleasant and open layout with an attractive style and variety of property. As for individual properties more internal storage space would of been welcome.
Please be aware that this is a very windy area as it is on top of a hill.
At the moment construction is still underway so the estate has a good share of works traffic, heavy plant noise during working hours and dirty road surfaces.
The whole purchase process went very smoothly thanks to excellent service from the Sales Office, being kept up to date at all times.
Baker Estates have dealt with any issues during the snagging period as promptly as possible.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

If you like a slower and quieter life than in a big city you will find it here. There are shops for most things but no big department stores and only one moderately sized supermarket. South Molton provides a selection of restaurants and cafes and a good variety of Public Houses both in town and near by. Areas of open space and woodlands make a nice place to walk your dogs and there are several areas for children to play football or enjoy play equipment. Transport by bus service is available to larger towns if you like more shopping and there is a local taxi service. Access to the main north devon link road is close by and Barnstaple is approx 10 miles.
Bin collections are regular and grass cutting of open areas in the summer season are also regular.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

We would have liked to be informed of the open space area (which is next to our property) actually being raised from ground level to a substantial mound of earth. Not what we expected when we purchased.

What is the best feature of your home:

We love our new home, well designed internal layout.

The development is coming along nicely🚜

The development is coming along nicely. There are things still to come, which is exciting, including the finished roads, a park (now well underway) and allotments. It is well maintained by regular landscapers and the houses are of a pleasant design throughout.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Honiton is a lovely town to live in. You’ve got a choice of bars/restaurants and 3 main supermarkets as well as a selection of local business including a sweet shop and a wine shop. The train line goes to Exeter and London. Hayne Farm is well placed as there are bus stops just nearby. Parking isn’t an issue as most houses have driveways and we don’t get any issues with antisocial behaviour.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

It would be good to know in advance the kind of timeline of the development as a whole including the parks and allotments. But that isn’t a barrier to buying.

What is the best feature of your home:

It sounds simple but our favourite feature is the beautiful tiling in the bathroom. The dual heating system is also great, being able to have different temperatures and the house is really energy efficient.
