THE GREEN ROOMS MEDIACITYUK, we love the look and design. Its modern, simplistic, and real good quality furnishings and finishes.
The facilities are great. We often make use of the ‘social room’ on the ground floor overlooking the canal. When we have friends over, we go play a game of pool. Its also a great spot to host small gatherings with an equipped kitchen, lots of comfy seating too.
The Bin room is the only downside to this area, as the entrance is in the same corridoor to this social space, and often smells quite bad walking through. but you get through there in a quick second.
The Gym is great! Often quiet, with all the essentials.
The lobby is beautiful! And always such a great sight to come home to.

We love the fact that apartments have built in wardrobes, quality bedroom furnishings and super comfortable mattresses if you going fully furnished!

The management team are really superb! Made our process of signing the rental exciting instead of a dread. They were so quick and helpful to address ‘issues’ such a wonky mattress when we moved in. Replaced with a brand new one on the same day. Always lovely to chat with all the staff!

One ‘downside’ when we moved in, is that the apartment wasn’t as clean as we would have expected. So we had to take that on as a bit of a challenge (Cleaning the washing machine – inside and out) The previous tenants left the dishwasher in a bit of a state and the mould / mildew in the bathroom was quite bad) But that was resolved quickly by ourselves.

The BEST feature of this property is the soundproofing! You never hear a neighbour! We feel comfortable to be able to watch an action packed movie on loud, knowing we aren’t bothering our neighbours and vice versa.
In the summer (now) with most people having their balconies open and enjoying the good weather, you can hear them, but the moment you move inside, with the door open, it becomes light background noise.

We are very happy with the property, facilities, value and management! We plan on being here for a long time!

THE GREEN ROOMS MEDIACITYUK is situated in a perfect position for our needs.
We were firstly sold on the view of our apartment. We have an L shape balcony that overlooks the canal, and extends to the side for perfect sunset viewing.
The area is great for us. We love the modern city living feel, but with a much quieter area that is Media City. The bars and restaurants in the vicinity are great, being able to go for a nice dinner, an afternoon drink, often have live music and / or a great vibe always.
Initially, grocery shopping was not that convenient as there are no major shops around. The local General Store did the trick for quick few item pick ups, but with the new CoOp having opened, which is a decent size and allows for more cost effective grocery shopping has changed that.
The tram being a quick 3min walk away, allows us to easily pop across to a lidl just a few stops away which also solves that inconvenience.
Being able to grab a Costa on the way to work, is the best part, basically on the doorstep, and a lovely breakfast bistro across the road for easy weekend treats.
Honestly, the position fits every requirement we have!

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Moving in / out your apartment can be quite a mission as there are only two elevators to service 19 floors.
Arrange for early morning / late evening if you can. And ensure you speak to the management about getting a key to lock the elevator for your use only. This makes it quicker and tenants aren’t trying to fit in elevators with you and all your stuff.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yes, we were experiencing a lot of ‘dust’ in the apartment. They arranged for the air filters to be cleaned for us in a timely manner. During this, the maintenance bloke, dropped a pipe on our wall, which marked it, but very quickly came and sorted that out with a fresh coat of paint. Very happy with the way they handle queries in a very timely manner.

A place on the quays – 5*

The building itself stands out in Media City, it’s absolutely stunning, I always feel so proud to live here. The interior design is incredibly modern and fresh. It has a super stylish clean aesthetic. The communal area facilities are perfect. Lovely open space for people to work from home or engage in communal gatherings. The gym, although small, serves a purpose. I would prefer to see more free weight equipment but I understand this may not be possible with health and safety unless you have a PT in the gym at all times. But it’s a great space to complete a workout.

The management are brilliant! Always on hand when you need help and incredibly friendly and engaging. Particular shoutout to Del and Jess who are always warm and welcoming and bring good energy to the building.

My only criticism in terms of the interior design is that some things don’t seem to be thought through too well. For example theres a lack of plugs in suitable places in the apartment which makes it difficult to furnish. Some of the finishes are a bit messy in terms of paint work and alignment of cupboards etc. Things do seem to have been rushed. I also don’t understand why the Master Bedrooms do not have the ensuite, surely this would have made more sense? Other than that I love these apartments, the light bright airy space is refreshing and feels like home. You don’t need a place in the sun, you need a place on the quays.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Location is a million percent 5*****. A very safe place to live with security always doing their bit and checking the area regularly. The bars and restaurants are great (when open) and it’s a short walk to the tram so easy access into central Manchester. It’s a lovely vibrant area with lots to do and beautiful landscapes. A very quiet and peaceful place to live. Nothing bad to say about the location.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Parking. The lack of free parking in the area makes it incredibly hard to have friends or family over as it costs an absolute fortune to stay even a few hours. Complimentary parking for residents should be available given the cost of the flats.

What is the best feature of your home:

The view of the quays. The balcony overlooks the quays, ITV and over Trafford. The bright open windows allow for a lot of light which is incredibly refreshing in an apartment. This by far has to be one of my favourite things. It’s a breath of fresh air in comparison to my old flat that had small windows and little light. This is perfect and the balconies are a brilliant size.

Nice shared workspace downstairs with good light.
Rooms feel quite spacious and have decent storage compared to many other flats.
Lovely big bathroom.
Comfy beds.
Well finished apartments with lots of plug sockets too!
Clean bin area!

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Living here is easy.
Two decent mini supermarkets, cafes, bars, restaurants (many of which offer takeaway). Lowry outlet is perfect for those new flat essentials.
There are plenty of places to meet people/ socialise yet it isn’t too busy or noisy.
Lots of parking for friends and family visiting.
Walks and runs are decent around the quays.
Public transport includes two tram lines, busses and water taxis in summer.
It feels safe.
It isn’t too busy – as with city centre living.
Nothing to dislike!

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Nothing really but I spent quite a bit of time working out which apartment I’d like. Do you want to be next to the lift/ is your balcony best placed for light? It is worth getting a sense of these things before signing up.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Any issues are always dealt with and the team are always helpful.

We just love living at The Green Rooms! So peaceful, lovely community atmosphere and a top quality apartment. On top of that, our dog is made to feel just as welcome as we are!

The design of the rooms and layout:position of The Green Rooms is the best in the area. We have viewed quite a few properties in the area and The Green Rooms is in the best position for daylight/sunshine most of the day, not overlooked and views for miles! This also means the apartments are kept warm (we’ve not really used out heating yet, end throughout winter!). The apartments design gives a very roomy and spacious feel and the layout means that any noise from neighbours is minimised. The communal facilities such as the gym, residents lounge and reception area are welcoming, high quality and clean. The building management is excellent all round-all staff are friendly. Welcoming and really efficient at what they do.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

The Green Rooms is in the best location in Salford Quays; waterfront, bright, brilliant views and so close to all the amenities without being busy and noisy. Although a lot of the local shops and restaurants have been closed due to lockdown, many are offering takeaway with some brilliant deals if you are a Green Rooms tennant. There a 2 Metrolink drops close by for two different lines and access to the motorway is close enough to avoid crazy traffic without being too close to busy traffic areas.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Sign up for the residents page on Facebook as soon as you move in so you get to know about the fun activities, special announcements/offers and be involved in The Green Rooms community from day one.

If there is one thing you would change about your flat or property what would it be:

The only thing I would change is the opportunity to buy the flat and stay here for ever!

I wanna live here forever!

I really enjoy living at the green rooms, the residents are really friendly and considerate, the apartments are very clean with modern designs, and the gym has all the essential equipment. The lounge area downstairs has a pool table and TV, as well as kitchen and a meeting room, so it’s a great way to host friends over, especially if you only have a 1 bed apartment. The apartments could be a bit more spacious (especially the 1beds), but other than that I 100% enjoy living here and would recommend to everyone!

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Great amenities, restaurants, gyms, and public transport links. Only thing missing would be a big supermarket in the area, there is a coop and sainsburys locals for everyday essentials though. Really safe area as well, there’s 24 hour security walking around in the area, as well as 24hr reception in our building. Only downside is lack of free/street parking.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I knew about the community of residents in this building, everyone is super considerate and we have a facebook group in which everyone is always asking and offering each other help. There are regular social events for the residents to socialize as well.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Respond quickly and the management can always be trusted to handle your property with care when there are any repairs or when sorting out access to your apartment in case you are not around.
