Great modern city centre living with affordable parking

Review Date Oct 2021

The development is managed very well – the team keep us regularly informed through alerts and newsletters via the Cargo Building app. Shared areas such as the lounge and gym are cleaned regularly and there is access to free tea and coffee in the lounge which is great when working from home. The car park is also much cheaper than anywhere else we found in the city centre; the spaces are tight but for the price it’s great to have private underground parking. The only thing I would change is to add small balconies onto more of the flats to allow for some outdoor space as on hot days the flat can get very warm.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

It’s a great location, really close to the Albert Dock with an array of bars and restaurants to suit all tastes. There’s easy access to Liverpool One for shopping as well as all the best landmarks such as the Liver Building and the two cathedrals. The small Tesco below the Cargo Building is also very useful for buying essentials. With your flat windows closed, it’s very quiet, however if you want your windows open you will hear the noise from the road and from people out and about below.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

If you live in the flats on top of the Tesco and you like your window open at night, you will hear the Tesco delivery van around 8am/8.30am in the morning. With the window closed you can’t hear anything but with it open it will be a little noisy if you’re a light sleeper or like a lie in.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Before we moved in we noticed some potential water damage which we asked to be checked out. The team did this and painted over any marks which was great and it hasn’t been an issue since.

Great location

Tesco is outside. The gym is right here. The gym is 24/hours. A coffee shop is yet to come. On a low floor so the view isn’t great. But I have a bigger apartment. The maintenance team is great. I have hear of any issues with them. They are fast and efficient. They know me by name and make an issue. Doesn’t take long to get to work, even though i work is spoke. I have a flatmate, and we get along. Good value for money, you get good internet included and a gym membership. Big apartment, bigger than my previous place. Newer, bigger, more convenient that my previous place for the same price. They have a media room if you want a party but not in you’re flat, and it is free. There is a screen, kitchen, toilet in there too so its handy.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Like. Central, close to transport and the centre. The bus stop is outside the door.
dislike. You can hear the neighbours, not very loud, and its not an issue. But i would prefer that not to happen.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Im familiar with the area, but more about the apartment. The furnishing, so i didn’t go and buy a kettle, toaster, etc.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Really good. I only had one complaint ams they responded fast.

The design of the buildings are modern

Review Date Oct 2021

The design of the buildings are modern, and close to the city centre, if windows are open then noise of cars or even students on nights out can be heard, building management are effecient pleasant and available 24/7. Interior of the apartment is modern and well designed, although there are minor problems noted on arrival of the flat, it’s a very expensive flat and only been built 5 years so perhaps I would have expected the standards to be perfect! Although they are close to it

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

It’s perfect location, lovely flat with concierge, carparking the only downside I have to the apartments is that they are quite expensive.at

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I had known more about the prices and position of the other flats I may have preferred apartment on a higher floor

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

We have reported a few issues on arrival, which they have responded to although a little slow to fix.

Excellent building and concierge service

Verified Resident

Review Date Sep 2021

The apartments are beautifully designed and very spacious. They come furnished but have plenty of space to add your own furniture and personal touch. There is easy access to the car park from every building as all the elevators go to the basement. There is a tesco express which is part of the building and theres more supermarkets just a short walk up the road. Bins are in the basement which is also easy to get to. The concierge takes all delivery so you never miss a parcel and you can collect it when ever you are able.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Location is perfect. 5 minutes from Liverpool one, at least 3 different areas for bars, clubs and restaurants. In the 9 grayson building there is very little noise as it is not directly on the road. Parking is very good but does cost £75 a month.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The basic internet is a bit slow if you don’t upgrade it.
There isn’t a huge amount of kitchen storage space.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

They fix any issues very quickly, you just have to report it on the app. We did have an issue with the washing machine which took a while to fix but they just let us use a spare machine in an empty flat while we waited.

Good place to live and commute from.

Well managed with staff always on hand to offer help and advice. Concierge staff are friendly and email you when ever a parcel is delivered for you. The flats are well laid out and good sizes with very little noise herd from surrounding flats.
Negatives – the building is served by two lifts, one of which has broken down twice since we moved in less than 6 months ago.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Very close to the city centre shops and restaurants. Tesco local on the ground floor with a larger Tesco just up the road. The area is quiet given its close proximity to town and the Baltic triangle area.
There is plenty of parking available within the building and it is very close to transport links both car, train and bus out of the city.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The bin stores can get very full so it’s best to take rubbish down just as they’ve been empires to avoid the smell

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

All maintenance requests have been dealt with quickly and there is an app for building updates and services

Spacious, modern flat in good location

Review Date Sep 2021

The design of the building is a simple enough lay-out to navigate, but has a modern feel. The flats themselves are spacious and well-cleaned by staff prior to your moving in. Any issues with flat maintenance can be reported to the property management team via the Cargo app, although sometimes their input has to be chased up as you can find yourself waiting quite a while for certain help.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Location is a huge aspect of any property, and the Cargo doesn’t disappoint. Situated opposite Albert Dock and in the Baltic Triangle region, meaning there is no shortage of diverse establishments at which to dine out. It is also just a 5 minute walk from Bold Street, a street littered with multiple high-quality restaurants.

Transport links aren’t an issue so much, as everything in the city is within walking distance of the property. That said Liverpool Central and Lime Street are just a 10 and 15 min walk respectively.

Traffic noise is not an issue despite being next to the Strand. Bin collections are deposited in the basement parking level, and are well manned. Parking can sometimes prove to be difficult, as residents aren’t allocated any particular spot, and although it seems to be spacious, many of the parking spaces are obscured by pillars which make spaces too small for the average car.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The car park can be used by guests, especially useful for moving-in day before you have any access. This does come at a cost of £7 for 24hrs parking, but this is decent for secure, underground parking.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

I raised an issue with a broken fridge shelf to management, and they have taken a long time to respond and no updates on the arrival of parts have been provided.

Very nice place to live

It’s designed well. The building feels very modern and well put together. The facilities are very good. There is an on-site gym which is very convenient and the parcel collection service works perfectly. Building is very clean and the building management is always in communication if there are any issues.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Great range of shops – very close to Liverpool one. Plenty of bars available as it’s located between the docks and town. Not too much noise. A little bit on a Friday/Saturday night but nothing too loud.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

In a good way it’s probably worth highlighting just how well located the place is.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

As soon as we raise an issue it is dealt with swiftly.

Great space, very happy!

Review Date Sep 2021

I feel this building has a tasteful modern design, it is spacious and well managed. I appreciate the regular cleaning being done of communal areas. The common area reception is a great space as well as the cargo gym. I find the gym an ideal place for exercise as it’s never overcrowded, always well-maintained and the equipment is great.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

The location of cargo building is ideal as we’re right by the water, which is a lovely piece of nature in the city. There’s a wonderful selection of restaurants and our local pub is brilliant. The parking availability is perfect as there’s more spaces than tenants, the bin collection is always timely and well-managed as well as organised and clean. The streets surrounding our building can be quite noisy as we’re next to a hotel and a bar but with windows closed the disturbance is minimal. The value for money of our living facilities is ideal for myself and my partner as this is our first home.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I would highly recommend this building and this company as we as tenants feel well looked after and listened to as well as having our utmost privacy.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The building management was handled through our cargo building app to handle all issues which were dealt with within a day of our submission. Have not had any direct contact with our landlord

This development is very well designed and the apartments really are lovely to live in.

This development is very well designed and the apartments really are lovely to live in. They are extremely modern, inside and out. As well as having a beautiful foyet with an open working space by the reception, we also have a great gym and a conference space that can be hired. The underground parking is also great. The staff are always so helpful day and night and the building is dog friendly which is another added bonus.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

The range and quality of local shops is great as we are a 5 minute walk from Liverpool One shopping centre. There is a great bar downstairs as well as quite a few nearby as we are 5/10 min walk from the centre and the albert docks. The only thing is, there needs to be more greener spaces in this area. Everything else is completely fine and we’ve never had any problems.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

We didn’t realise about the 24 hour concierge and security. It makes you feel very safe and secure.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Any issues have always been responded to quite quickly and we’ve never had any problems.

Great location apart from noise

Verified Resident
Verified Resident
Review Date Sep 2021

Apartments themselves are well equipped and layed out. Lift access to all floors including car park; there can be a wait for lifts at peak times. Generally quiet within the building although slamming fire doors in corridors can often be heard. The apartment itself is extremely hot in summer and has no air con so dependant on opening windows resulting in issues with noise from street. Some obvious issues with cleanliness in communal areas. Management company are responsive and 24hr consiege available to provide support whenever needed.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Well located between Liverpool One and Albert Dock. Close to transport connections and convinient underground parking (at additional cost). There is significant noise at all times from the main road which is located at end of building. There is also a pub located adjacent to block 2 which is noisy most evenings. Ongoing refuse issues although these are primarily owing to a lack of bin capacity in the development.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

There is alot of noise from the nearby main road throughout the night even to rooms not located directly next to it and this will disrupt you if you are not a heavy sleeper

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The building management respond quickly to queries and are generally effective in resolving these first time
