Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

My wife and I moved in to Fernley tower a couple of days ago. So far, our experience has been very good. The location is perfect, down the road from the tram station, and a short walk into the centre. Driving to the place is easy as well, thanks to the large carpark down the road from the development. Noise was a worry, coming from the countryside, but the windows and very well soundproofed which is great. The people we have met so far have all been great too.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

We are raising issues over the next couple of days, will assess how they respond.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Wish we had known that certain furnishings cannot be moved i.e. TV.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Ancoats location is nice but there is a lot of garbage around the building, especially near the car park next to the building. I’ve found drug bags in the entry way of the entrance of the bike room down stairs and on 3 occasions have actually found someone smoking drugs in that same entryway. They recently got the light repaired there, so it seems to have hindered people from doing that anymore.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Things can take a very long time to resolve and be fixed

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The cost of utilities during winter is insane. The cost of parking

Love Angel Gardens!

Angel Gardens, M4

Aug 2025

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

I've been in Angel Gardens for two months so far and I love it! Very central location and attentive staff, especially James, Kwam, Ralph & Samson. I feel very secure living here on my own as a woman. It's so convenient being close to the city, shops, trams, busses and trains. I've also enjoyed the convenience of the MODA app and the concierge ticket system, as well as the parcel locker systems.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yes, they've been helpful and responsive with everything I've come to them with.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

It's surprisingly quiet, despite being centrally located and near a busy thoroughfare.

A Fantastic Find In East Piccadilly/Ancoats

Marci G (Tenant)

Verified Resident

The Castings, M1

Aug 2025

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

We’ve recently moved to Ancoats/East Piccadilly from the City Centre where we were of course in the middle hub of everything. It was important for us, as we don’t have a vehicle, to be able to have easy access to transport. We found the perfect location. Mere steps away from a tram stop and a few streets from Piccadilly Station. Plenty of bus routes too. Plus abundant foodie choices and bars/pubs. We had previously lived on a terribly noisy square, which affected our sleep and prompted our move. Since moving we have had nothing but quiet, uninterrupted sleep since moving into our flat at The Castings. Bliss.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

We found one issue upon move in which was an unpainted area on the ceiling, which maintenance came and took care of in 2 days. Amazing.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The on-site trolleys could be a bit larger for moving in and out. This is really a petty thing to moan about, but is actually helpful for moving.
