Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

In my opinion, you couldn’t live in a better place, location wise. You’re right by all of the best Ancoats stores, bars and eateries, as well as near the marina and local parks. Then if you need the city centre or either train station, you’re no more than 15 mins from any of them. And even though the building is surrounded by a couple of busy roads, the sound proofing is really good, so you’d never know from inside the flat

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The team respond to anything you raise immediately. I don’t think I’ve experienced anything not being fixed same day. They’re brilliant, for that

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

There’s not anything I wish I knew before moving here, the viewing was very thorough, so I felt really well informed

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Living at UHaus in Circle Square is essentially about convenience. You're positioned right in the heart of the action, so you’ve got a massive range of independent cafes, bars, and restaurants immediately outside. You rarely need to travel far for a decent meal or coffee, and if you do fancy the Northern Quarter or Deansgate, they’re easy to reach. Transport-wise, it’s spot on. Being on Oxford Road gives you immediate access to frequent buses and the train station, which makes commuting or getting out of the city effortless. If you own a car, though, be prepared—parking is limited, expensive, and a general headache, which is pretty standard for this part of Manchester. The building itself is a step up from your typical rental. The concierge, gym, and co-working areas are great, and because the management team handles the maintenance, the place stays clean and well-kept. It’s far better than fighting with council schedules for bins or dealing with shoddy upkeep. You do have to trade off some peace and quiet. It’s a high-density area, so there’s a constant city hum, but the building is well-insulated, so it rarely feels intrusive. If you’re looking for suburban silence, this isn't it, but if you want to be plugged into the city with all the day-to-day admin taken off your hands, it’s a hard spot to beat.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yes any issues raised they have always fixed it for me!

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Noise complaints from higher floors but turned out to be students, management sorted this

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

I don’t like living around so many students as they vomit everywhere. 24 hour spar is good. There is only very expensive parking nearby, no parking for the building.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The concierge staff and Nelly have always been brilliant - best I have experienced and so happy to help, along with the repairs guy. There is a male senior manager I emailed who wasn’t helpful. Too focused on wanting to meet me rather than just get things sorted.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

That uhaus would get rid of all the positive things and reasons why I moved in in the first place. I want ultra convenience and this building no longer represents that.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The area is very convenient with a good range of supermarkets, cafes, and restaurants nearby. Public transport links are reliable, with easy access to buses and nearby stations. There are also parks and open spaces within walking distance. The street itself is generally quiet and safe, although parking can sometimes be limited during peak hours. Overall, it’s a comfortable and well-connected place to live.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The building management has generally been responsive and helpful. Issues are acknowledged quickly and resolved within a reasonable timeframe, although occasional follow-ups are sometimes needed for quicker action.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I had known that parking can be limited at certain times and that occasional delays in maintenance responses can happen. However, overall the experience has been smooth and manageable.

A well-run building in one of Manchester’s best neighbourhoods

Jordan C (Tenant)

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The restaurants, coffee shops and bars are genuinely good, not just convenient, and the canal area gives you somewhere to decompress five minutes from your front door. Getting in and out of the city is easy, and the neighbourhood itself has a real sense of identity, it feels lived-in and characterful rather than sterile. Neighbours are friendly and the energy is just right.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Any time I’ve flagged something it’s been picked up quickly and without any back and forth. Makes a real difference knowing things actually get dealt with.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Honestly, not much to flag. If anything I’d just say trust the process. The area feels better once you’re actually living in it than it does from the outside. And the team know the building well and give you a straight picture of what to expect at the viewing.

Manager response

Hey Jordan, Thanks so much for the thoughtful feedback, it’s great to hear you’ve settled in so well! We’re especially glad Hassan made such a positive impression and that the team’s approach continues day-to-day. It’s also great to hear you’re enjoying the local area and community feel. We appreciate you highlighting the responsiveness of the management team too as these things really matter. Thanks
