I’ve had a really positive experience living here. The building is modern, well maintained and the facilities are excellent. I especially want to mention Galya from the concierge team, who is always incredibly kind, welcoming and helpful. She is very professional and always goes out of her way to help whenever I have a question or need assistance. Having such a friendly and reliable person at concierge genuinely makes a difference to the experience of living here.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The location is excellent, with great transport links, restaurants, shops and everything you need within walking distance. Canary Wharf feels very safe, clean and well maintained, and it is a very convenient area to live in.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The response from the wider management team has not always been as efficient or responsive as I would expect. Some issues have required repeated follow-ups before being resolved. This is completely separate from my experience with the concierge team, who are consistently responsive, kind and extremely helpful. I would particularly like to mention Galya at concierge, who always goes above and beyond to help and has consistently provided an exceptional level of service.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I had known how much of a difference having a helpful and friendly concierge team makes to everyday life. The location is also incredibly convenient, with great transport links and everything you need nearby.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Good selection of local shops, with M&S, Waitrose, Whole Foods , and Morrisons are very close by. Good range of restaurants are available, suiting various occasions, ranging from fine dining to good burgers.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Generally very good, but we need to report all request for maintenance via App, It would be more convenient if multiple channels are available, e.g. via email, and/or WhatsApp.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Not all tenants require all furniture provided by Vertus. Vertus seems not flexible in removing some unwanted furniture, as we are asked to move them ourselves and pay for the storage off-site.

The design of the apartment is very nice and modern. All the appliances are high quality and from Siemens, which makes the apartment feel very well equipped. The apartment is also equipped with a ventilation system, air conditioning, and underfloor heating, making the apartment extremely comfortable throughout the year. It is also quite spacious even though I am living in a studio apartment. The building and property management team is excellent as well. They are always responsive and provide prompt support whenever you need help, whether it is for maintenance, moving in, or moving out. Overall, I have had a very nice living experience here.

Newfoundland is definitely one of the best apartments I have ever lived in. It is located in Canary Wharf, and the surrounding area is very nice, modern, and feels safe. The overall living environment is excellent, making it a very comfortable and enjoyable place to live.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

I think the management and maintenance team is very responsive. Usually the problems can be solved in 2-3 days.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The building provides free rubbish bags on every floor, so I don’t need to buy them myself.

the best part about this building is the location and concierge, they are such a wonderful team of genuine and nice people. Victor, Rob, Heidi, Andrea and everyone in between make the building feel like home. i’ve been here for 5 years and knew i could always rely on them if ever needed

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

my curtain broke once and they fixed it within 36 hours

i wish i had known that the apartment comes with nothing at all. no bedsheets, no kitchen items at all, nothing. so it’s very important to have everything ready beforehand

The development is incredibly polished and well-finished. It is designed beautifully and has a sleek, modern finish. The quality of the build is amazing and not easily found anywhere else in London. The coffee machine, snug and lounge are so useful and comfortable. A notable addition to the development are the superb concierges. In no particular order, Victor, Abdul, Rob, Heidi, Andrea and more have been absolutely exceptional. Helpful, kind and thoughtful. The building would not be the same without them. They make the building feel like home, truly.

Canary wharf is a lively hub and 8 water street is in the very middle of it all. It was the first place I rented out in London and hopefully the last! It has incredible transport links including the Elizabeth line, Jubilee line and DLR.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

They have addressed it as quickly as possible and have always been helpful

I wish I had known details about bed sizes and the fact that they could be different in 2 bedroom apartments
