Modern Living in a Fantastic Location

Alma, E1

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Alma is in a fantastic location with a wide range of shops, restaurants, cafés and bars all within walking distance. Transport links are excellent, with Aldgate East, Aldgate and Liverpool Street stations nearby, making it very convenient to travel across London. The street is generally lively but feels safe, and building management keeps communal areas and bin collections super well maintained.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The building management team has been responsive and helpful whenever I have raised an issue. Communication has generally been clear, and any concerns have been addressed in a timely and professional manner. Overall, I have found the management to be extremely friendly and committed to maintaining a positive living environment.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

One thing I wish I had known before moving in is how busy and lively the area can be, especially during peak hours. While the location is extremely convenient with great transport links and amenities, the surrounding streets can sometimes feel quite fast-paced and noisy compared to what you might expect from a viewing. It’s not necessarily a negative, but it’s something worth being aware of before moving in so you know what to expect day to day.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The maintenance team is great, especially Orlando is very professional and friendly. He tried his best to fix the issues for me.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I would like to check All appliances and facilities are working. They look very good from the exterior, but when I moved in and started to use such facilities, I realised some of them are not working.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Living in this area has been incredibly convenient and enjoyable. The neighborhood offers a fantastic range of local shops, supermarkets, and great restaurants, making daily life very easy. Transport links are excellent, providing quick and seamless connections to central London for both study and leisure. The streets are generally quiet, safe, and well-maintained, offering a great balance between a peaceful environment and city convenience.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The building management and concierge team are exceptionally helpful and responsive. On one occasion, I couldn't locate an important parcel that was marked as delivered. I raised the issue with the staff, and they immediately stepped in, thoroughly checked the mailroom, and quickly tracked it down for me. Their fast, proactive, and caring response really showed how much they value the residents.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I had known about the fantastic dedicated study room available within the building! The study environment there is incredibly quiet, comfortable, and perfectly set up for deep focus. It has been an absolute lifesaver for my graduate studies, especially on days when I need a change of scenery from my flat but want to avoid commuting to the campus library. If you are a student or someone who works from home, having such a great study space right on your doorstep is a massive bonus!

The local area is very convenient, with excellent transport links including DLR, Underground and bus connections. Bin collections are regular and reliable, and any occasional issues are dealt with quickly. Overall, it is a vibrant and well-connected place to live with everything needed close at hand.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Any issues or questions I have raised have been dealt with promptly and professionally. The management team communicates clearly and keeps residents informed. Luciana, Lia and Abdi deserve special recognition for their excellent work, as they consistently go above and beyond to help residents and ensure that any concerns are addressed efficiently

One of the main advantages of living in this area is the convenience. There is a Tesco nearby, as well as several Chinese supermarkets, which makes grocery shopping very easy. The property is also close to Canary Wharf, where you’ll find a wide range of restaurants, cafés, shops, and other amenities. As for the downsides, the area can feel quite busy during peak hours due to its proximity to Canary Wharf, but overall it is a very convenient and well connected place to live.
