Unex Tower, E15

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The location of Unex Tower is amazing, it is very close to the Stratford station and Stratford international, very easy to do shopping as well with Westfield and Stratford shopping centre close by. One downside I can think of is that it is way too close to the station and it can bit noisy when the trains pass by making rail screeching noises.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Management responded to my emails and calls but never tried to resolve any problems…

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wished I have known about the management issues here. I lived here for a year and immediately moved to Glasshouse Gardens where the management is amazing. Everything is spot on there.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The development is just a stones throw away from Westfield so it’s really convenient for shopping and eating out It’s also right next to Stratford station with tube, bus, train and DLR links so it’s really easy to commute from the development I guess the only thing if you live on the lower levels may be noise from the traffic, also not all flats will have parking spaces and you will need to obtain a council parking space as an alternative

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

We had responses from the management company to deal with issues fairly promptly and they communicate via email of any current general building issues

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The ceiling to floor buildings let in a lot of light so we needed to add in extra curtains to block out the light

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The area is diverse, there is a mix of people here. It is very well connected and close to restaurants.

The management has a lot of links so it is very difficult to find out who to contact for which problem.

Transportation is accessible, there is local shopping area, a theater. Traffic could be be better but on the other hand there are nice local restaurants and a brilliant library.

If I had know that unex owned both the land and the building then I might not have bought a flat here.
