We believe the best information about a residential development comes from the people living there. Owners and tenants have a lot of useful information to share with their prospective neighbours, not just on the property itself and its locality, but also on the developer and the building’s management.

There are residential gym, lounges, cinema room, dining room, conference rooms in the two buildings managed by sailmakers. The staff here is extremely friendly and responsive. Underground parking space (paid separately), including bike storage (free). In the windy days, sometimes you could hear the wind howling, which isn't great.

The development is well designed, with great amenities and areas for engagement between tenants. The staff were always very helpful in dealing with issues or queries, and I had a great overall experience. Tenant events were fun (especially the art one!) and my overall experience was really great.

We are so grateful to have found a welcoming space that met all our needs after moving to London from a different country and facing weeks of an exhausting and frustrating search for a new home. Emilia Dejka-Lopes's amazing support and warm welcome from the first moment has been instrumental in this. As our Leasing Associate, Emilia has gone above and beyond to make our move as smooth as possible. She was incredibly kind and patient throughout our search for the perfect apartment in terms of layout and light, and she always has a smile and a warm presence, as well as resourceful solutions for every challenge we've faced, including those unrelated to the development. She's offered guidance about every detail and been gracious and patient while we learn how everything works here. When I shared with Emilia there was a problem with the activation of our wifi with Hyperoptic and we were made to wait for five days for the first available visit by an engineer (Hyperoptic related, nothing to do with Sailmakers), because she knew I work from home, she came to the rescue and offered to arrange an alternative working space for me in the meantime. The maintenance crew has also been amazing, with Dean and Orlando addressing and solving any issues speedily and efficiently. The building is well maintained and has a gym with amazing views, as well as other amenities that are always clean and welcoming, including a guest lounge, coworking space and a dining room that can be rented for private parties. Design is lovely, kitchen appliances are really good quality, and it's amazing to have the flexibility of requesting furnished or unfurnished flats. There is a separate utility closet, and we very much appreciate not having the washer/dryer in the kitchen. And it's pet friendly, which was essential for us. Sound insulation between flats is really good and energy efficiency is fantastic. Thank you Emilia and Sailmakers team for making us feel welcome and offering us such a lovely living space.

Sailmakers is great with a superb variety of amazing event offerings (sip&paint, movie nights, puppy yoga, dog meet&greet, you name it!). The current management achieved quite an improvement by bringing back events on a regular basis (including dog events!) and acting quickly to residents‘ support when needed, including stepping in and holding residents accountable who act aggressively or rude. The reception team is kind and helpful, adding a personal touch to the living experience, including a dog-friendly approach, which has increased again this past year! The same goes for the maintenance team. They are fab! The cinema room is fantastic and the gym has an outstanding view. Unfortunately, the gym needs a lot of refurbishment and fixing after about five years, but the answer so far has been that it’s not a priority. This approach (from Greystar, I believe) is not unacceptable, considering the aggressive rent increase each year, and the fact that the gym is a center piece of the building they advertise with! They are several entire machines that are not working anymore. The amount of students (predominantly from one group) has not reduced significantly, so that unfortunately the littering issue across and around the building remains. The issue of dog owners letting their dogs pee right at the entrance remains as well, considerably affecting the aesthetics of the building entrance. The fact that some apartments are rented out on short-term basis attracts all kinds of people who do not care about how to behave with other residents and the living standards in the building. The decision to open the building up to those rentals was a big mistake, as you could notice the decline in the overall experience over the years. Overall, the positives at Sailmakers prevail, but there remains a lot of work and convincing of the senior Greystar management who are not on sight and do not seem to know or care about the circumstances on sight.
