The site is situated on the Isle of Dogs close to the River Thames, and less than a 10-minute walk from the heart of Canary Wharf. A Tower, A Home

I think that the Sirocco Tower was not the only property which could provide a plenty of facilities, but I believe that the tower is the only one that could satisfy my emotional needs. When I got the pressures from the university, the smile faces of the reception always make me feel relief. Thank you for all your patience in the last year, and I hope that I could stay in your tower again shortly.

Extremely convenient location and internal facilities.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

If you want any specific view in your balcony, you may need to ask the favour to the management team before you move in.

If there is one thing you would change about your flat or property what would it be:

Sometimes, my flat was dusty, and based on my observation, that might be caused by the carpet.

Nice development but expensive bills

In general the building is fine. There are some issues with the wind, when there are strong wind there is a sound coming from the extractors across the house. The development comes with preset utility companies which are outrageously expensive. The cooling system is a rip off. You have to pay double the electricity because of that. Even if you don’t use it, the standing charges are about £500 a year minimum.

Area is fine, close to CW and DLR for transportation. Plenty of restaurants close by and shops. Nothing negative

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

They take a while to respond as we need to send an email first and arrange a time for them to come by so issues are not always resolved immediately. We have an issue with the heating system and every time we need to turn it on we need to call facilities, which is not great especially if it takes 2-3 days

Sailmakers is a great place to live, tho my stay has not been long here yet about a month I felt welcome from the day they showed me the apartment. The staff is exceptionally nice and helpful. Especially Alexandra was very helpful for us. The amenities are very good as well and in good condition. The views from the gym give you extra motivation. The buildings are kept extremely clean and working. The maintenance team is also very friendly and helpful. The only criticism I can find with this place is that the parcel storage room is disorganised, but that is mainly because the delivery drivers just put them in randomly.

Good:
– Everything just a 10 – 15 minute foot walk away
– Very safe
– Very Clean

Bad:
– Lots of construction but from the development these can’t be heard

I did not know the WiFi was included in the rent payment, so that was nice surprise.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Immediate help was offered and the maintenance people are very friendly and helpful.

Sirocco Tower is the dream! After living in different developments over the past couple years, Sirocco definitely takes the win! Great value for your money with outstanding facilities with a beautifully nautical theme The property management team are superb! The whole experience has been amazing.

Sirocco Tower is in the perfect location! A residential area but so close to all shops within walking distance. Perfect balance. The local shops and food establishments are extremely good.

The events hosted by the Management team are a great opportunity to meet the neighbours! Also, the facilities are never crowded which makes for an amazing experience.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The building management team are amazing. Always willing to help! All my questions and issues have been answered and resolved in a short short time and I couldn’t be happier. The on-site maintenance team definitely has been great!

Building facility is wonderful, there is a nice and cozy fitness with stella view, a massage room (without a lock? or an occupied signal), the dinning room (I love this room), a movie room and a lounge room that is very cozy. They have a very nice reservation system now, which is great that it’s automated, but when I book something it reserves time a European time in my calendar for some reason. I set my calendar at UK time but when I booked the dinning room from 1-4pm it shows up at 2-5pm in my Calendar. This causes some confusing moments at the reception.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

I love that fact that this place is managed by the building management team and not a sole landlord. It is very easy to communicate when something goes wrong in our apartment. However, we can constantly hear our upstairs neighbor walking sounds and furniture dragging sounds, which is sometimes tolerable when it’s during the day. Most times not so tolerable. We tried to communicate with the upstairs neighbor by sending a note to them and suggest that it could be helpful to wear a soft slipper, but we can still hear stomping sounds. We asked the building to help with it in the beginning and they asked for a sound recording. When we send the audio files to them they asked us to report this to the council, instead of helping us mitigating this. It’s close to a year now that we live here. We are still debating if this is still worth paying a premium for, since it affects our sleep really badly.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I know that the barrier between my ceiling and the floor on the room above is fragile. Had I heard people stomping sounds during the viewing, I would have been more careful.
I wish I know how to use the temperature controller, because the AC is not as cold during the summer and during winter it’s too cold. The second bedroom doesn’t have A/C, which can be really hot during the summer.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

4 out of 5 times, the building management team responded really well, especially when Alexandra is in charged. Most emails I received from Alexandra has been very quick, responsive, and solved my problems in a very empathic way. She would confirm and trace where my parcel is when I couldn’t find my parcels, she would also send me a parcel room code quickly when we were still using the old system. The other lady asked me to wait for 24 hours more (after I got an sms from the courier) to get the code and some frozen goods in my parcel was not as frozen anymore, yikes.

Alexandra also helped me with the upstairs noise when we moved in, but when the other lady was in charge she didn’t want to help mitigate our problem and disregarded the evidence that we sent via email. Which is the only 1 out of 5 times that I’m not very happy with.

Amenities are great, and overall look and design is beautiful. There are some odd design issues, such as the bathroom sinks being quite small and the building making loud groaning sounds in high winds. If two people in the same flat shower at the same time, water pressure drops. Management responds promptly to repair issues.

Lots of small grocery stores around, some speciality shops (like Asian grocery) and good amount of quality takeaway restaurants in the area. Very close to Canary Wharf

Some of the amenities (like gym classes) were supposed to open as soon as COVID restrictions allow, but they are still not being delivered.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Concierge are always quick to answer questions, and repair works are undergone swiftly.

The design of the flat is great with the only downside being no Air cooling in the second bedroom.

The concierge is very nice and helpful with facilities being maintained very well. The only downside there is the lack of gym classes which haven’t opened till date due to covid restrictions

The location is great as it is a very short walk from South Quay DLR and a 10 minute walk to Canary Wharf station giving jubilee line access too.

There are decent number of shops there. Some of the residents are not too great, however the security and coincerge is helpful and quick to deal with it.

Cost of bills and lack of gym classes not opening.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The maintenance team is very quick to deal with any issues arising with the flat.

On the good side, the complex has a host of amenities, very well designed with plenty of common areas which are well managed with comfy and inviting furniture.

Even the views from the building are rather tastefully managed with well placed and well proportioned windows.

On the bad side, building design has a couple of aspects which are not well thought of – like garbage disposal, entry/exit fobs, and door automation.

Right in the heart of urban London – Canary Wharf. Plenty of shops, restaurants and bars.

Great quality of construction, top notch furnishings, lovely staff and good facilities.

Overall the building offers a lot of premium aspects for a rent that matches.

As I cited earlier, the garbage disposal is rather poorly designed.

Yes they have responded promptly. There is a on site concierge team who reverts either in person or on mail.

Receptionists have always been very professional and friendly when we want to use the facilities or have any enquiries. Alex, in particular has been excellent trying to help find an available unit for us. She responds very quickly and on time. The entire check in process has been smooth. The gym has beautiful views. We love the booking concierge app which makes it easy to book spaces. We only wish all the facilities were in one building instead of spread across two.

Great Grocery stores around, safe neighbourhood. Great connectivity to public transport. The only downside is the noise because there’s construction and DLR sounds left right and centre.

You can only get keys with valid identification. So the key is for you and you only.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

When we had to self-isolate because we were contacted by the NHS app, we had to push back our move in date and the entire process was very smooth and simple. Alex resent the contract and we signed it again and there was all there was to it. Simple.

Great pick for canary wharf

There is a 24 hour gym facility, so it is convenient. The design is pretty good, and the mailroom is just across this building, so you can get packages easily. The management is great, and email promptly to keep contact with. The management staff is very nice and professional as well

It is a 10-15 walk to shopping mall, and a wide range of food choices, including American, Asian, etc. It is about 5 min walk to south quay for DLR, and 12 minutes to Canary Wharf station

I wish there was a swimming pool. Also would love to have more dining area

The washing machine wasn’t working fully but the maintenance team came to fix it right away after they received a request

You a key to access any part of the building (including the lifts) and additionally there’s 24/7 security, which makes you feel very secure. The facilities are beautiful and well maintained with a 24 hour gym on the 34th floor- which makes for a stunning view from the treadmill. The furnished lats come with a good selection of modern fittings and generally the building is beautifully designed.

Located a few minutes away from South Quay DLR station and short walk from Canary Wharf station, sailmakers is a great place for young professionals to live. There are multiple grocery stores including Tescos and Waitrose in walking distance, as well as amazing restaurants and a few bars. Parking is not included in the rent but can be purchased otherwise- although it is costly and will set you back a couple hundred a month. The biggest problem with living here is the lack of parking near the building. It’s virtually impossible to find sometimes.

Typically, the council tax in this area is quite high and we had issues with our bills as previous tenants had not paid their CT. I think Sailmakers needs to clear the debt by chasing the people who left behind their outstanding bills. It would have also been great to know the cost of parking

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

We had a broken stove the first month of moving in and the maintenance team was very quick to respond and fix it right away. We generally have had a great experience with the maintenance team. They’re quick, helpful and very kind
